Leading A Revolution
Following Payback last night, I was thinking about how guys like Cena, Wyatt, and the Shield will be booked now that it seems they have finished up with their most recent feuds. That's when I realized something interesting, and correct me if I'm wrong, but, Who is left to be the number one heel in WWE right now? If you ask me, the only guy left to do it is Bray Wyatt.
Just look at the roster. Batista is leaving for the time being, and Triple H is most likely gonna hang up the boots for at least a few months sense he's a part time wrestler. That leaves us with Randy Orton, whose heel character has become so stale and boring that it would be tough to watch. Alberto Del Rio has fallen into such obscurity, there is no way to rebuild him to the top of the card. And don't even get me started on Kane. He's too one dimensional for me. His feuds keep my interest one month, then after one ppv match, that's it i'm done. Finally there is Brock Lesnar, but he's part time and will probably just wrestle at Summerslam, Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania again.
Unless WWE decides to give a big push to Cesaro, or shove a rocket up Bad News Barrets ass and hot shot him to the top, then I can't think of who else is left to take the reigns as the top Heel in the company right now. The only other possible scenarios for me, would be to turn someone heel, Sheamus in my opinion, or completely hot shot Rusev, which would be way to much to fast and could do long term damage to his career.
So for me, it looks like the ball has fallen into Bray Wyatts lap, and he is the best, or at least the only viable candidate left, to be the top heel in WWE going forward. His last two feuds have been with the current WWE champ (D.Bryan) and the face of the company(Cena) so the only step higher would be to actually challenge for the title. What do you guys think? Is there someone I'm forgetting?
