All right, I got my Laptop last night and I'm attempting to get my internet through the router. I connected all the cables the right way. It even tells networks are available. So I go to click on the network at my house and it takes forever to connect. Eventually it stops. It gets me the option to diagnose my problem. So I clicked on it. Said something about my cables. its connected how the book tells me and how the pdf file shows me. What could be the problem? My only other guess is bad wires. But they were just working the other night.

If you're doing this and using a router, make sure you do the same with the router too. It usually bumps the precentage from 50% of the time to about 70%.

Check if you are using the correct permission type for your router Security things and all that. If you already have a computer connected to a router check the permissions on that
