So Is This The End Of Cena vs. Nexus ?

Lets face it, the Royal Rumble commercial basically confirms both men will be in the Royal Rumble match. The two won't face of in a singles match. The feud will end there, why? because if anyone listened to Punk during the match you would know Cena is the one he is after and Punk is more than likely going to enter the Rumble and eliminate Cena. In the end, creating a new feud which will go on to Wrestlemania.

Barrett won't win the Rumble because thats likely to go to Christian to set up the Edge v Christian Mania match. I doubt he'll be in the WWE title match at Mania because signs are suggesting its Miz v Morrison, after Morrison is screwed along the way. So he'll likely go into the MITB, win it and create a new spin on it. Having someone hold the contract whils having his Nexus open up the opportunity for him to strike.

So I see that as the end of one of the worst planned stories ever created.

I think Nexus will disappear until the time of the Rumble so everyone will think they have gone forever then Barret may win the Rumble. This is over with Cena but Nexus will be around at least until WM because as many people have mentioned there are still many unanswered questions.

I don't think we will see Barret on TV for a few weeks though.

it wont be over until at least something happens with the undertaker. remember they took him out and we still haven't found out why they did

I hope this is the end of Cena & Nexus angle. It's extremely boring at this point. We all get it: Cena will end up victorious regardless.

I hope the WWE dumps this angle completely and moves on.

I don't know if this is really the end but it should be. They've been dragging their feet with this Nexus storyline for weeks. That match between Cena & Barrett last night would be a great ending for it or at least to end for now. The sooner Nexus is broken up, the happier I will be. It seems like it's just taking up time now without a real purpose or reason.

I like the idea of the tag team match at the Royal Rumble, but, take Cena out of it. I think (if Sheffield is healthy enough), have Sheffield, Otunga, Young, and Tarver face Harris, McGillicutty, Gabriel, and Slater, since Barrett will be in the Royal Rumble match going for the title shot at Wrestlemania. I think, if built right, this could be a pretty good match, without Barrett, or Cena.

But, if they do decide to keep Nexus together until Wrestlemania, I can see Otunga turning(its gonna happen soon), then, one by one, have the others show up to side with him, and have the big match at Wrestlemania. If the former Nexus team wins, Nexus has to split up.

They continue!! This was cena beating Barrett, finally getting revenge, his next step will be wanting to end Nexus, Nexus can't disband because then it would have all been for nothing, I think Nexus will continue and they will be on/off with Cena and also be fighting off other wrestlers.

Surely you can't be serious....Cena has no other possible program for a feud, and until someone interferes with a match of his, like Punk, he will continue to feud with Nexus. The anonymous GM is going to be revealed soon, and not let this end. OR, in an unlikely scenario, Otunga is going to join forces with Cena and try and force Barrett out of WWE much like they did to Cena.

I personally don't see this as the end of Nexus. The Cena vs Nexus is over though. Cena has gotten his hands on every member of Nexus and defeated Barrett at TLC. Nexus and Cena have been at war for around 6 months now, so it's best to close this storyline and move on. I've enjoyed the storyline as to me, it's fresh and it was unpredictable and some of the events did shock me such as Cena losing at Hell in a Cell thus joining Nexus and doing Barrett's bidding and Cena getting himself "fired". It asks the question, what's next?

From what I've read, they want to keep Nexus going until the Draft, so fans of Nexus, they are here to stay for a little while longer. But don't quote me as we all know WWE Creative changes storylines everyday. But anyway, for Nexus, I see it being Barrett vs Otunga. Otunga over the last month or so has been stepping up and being a leader within Nexus challenging Barrett and threatened to kick him out if he didn't re-hire Cena last Monday, he tried leading a mutiny and he has been a big vocal person within Nexus when Barrett isn't there. So I see a possible face turn for Otunga and his exile from Nexus leading to a possible Barrett vs Otunga match somewhere down the line. Slater and Gabriel will probably continue to challenge for the Tag Team Titles whilst McGillicutty and Harris will continue to be background people.

Also, I read somewhere on this thread about Tarver returning to Nexus. Just to clear that one up, when Cena first joined Nexus in October, his first match was a Tag Team match with Tarver and if I remember correctly, Cena did not tag in and instead signed autographs or what have you, then after the match attacked Tarver. Later in that night, I remember Barrett thanking Cena as he was looking to get rid of Tarver as he felt he was a weak link or something. Of course, that was just written as a way to get Tarver off TV as he had to heal from an injury. As for Sheffield, there was no mention of if he is in Nexus or not since he got injured. But when he returns, it should be interesting as to where they take it as Sheffield was the powerhouse of Nexus, but they have that in Harris now.

I think its "the end", or will be in Cena's mind. Kayfabe-wise, the image of the chairs falling on Barrett last night signaled the end of his war with Nexus, to him.

It would be really bad booking for the company to book Cena as having laid out all of Nexus last night, and them not seek some sort of retribution. Cena's cost Barrett from winning the WWE title on two occasions, and thats barely been mentioned since. Nexus came in feuding immediately feuding with John Cena, so for them to feud with someone else would a step down.

I do think Nexus will take time to re-group. Last night was a symbolic "burial" of Nexus, and Barrett, at the hands of Cena when he dropped the chairs on top of Barrett as the PPV ended. We may not see them on TV for a few weeks, just to give them time to sell injuries and the like. But unless we see a massive bunch of future endeavors from the Nexus group within the next week or two, I think that they and Cena are far from done with each other. This is a Wrestlemania feud, possibly, waiting to happen. Only then and there would I give it any sort of closure.

How does the theme song of Nexus go?

"We are one, we are one, we are one, we will stand together. Number one, number one, the chosen ones. We are one, we are one, we will fight forever. We are one and we wont tire."

Nexus is NOT finished. I repeat. NOT finished.

They are going to fade away for awhile, then reappear more dominant than ever.

I dont think this is over between cena and nexus ...They gonna get their revenge and for some reason I believe Otunga gonna spill the beans about why they attacked Taker and what if they pull a stunt that Cena was the one who planned it. Not only he could draw heat from the fans but everybody in the locker room would be disappointed. This could start off going into rr a heel turn for cena after all hes done for the WWE!!

I believe Nexus will still be here..I mean, seriously all those months building up Nexus to top stable and to throw it all away in 1 night. I thought there was a higher power in Nexus someone who hired these goons like the RAW GM???? I would like them to keep Nexus around so we can piece together who the GM is it would be a good storyline. The group will not disband until WM maybe

I have to agree with one of the posters...IF it is over i think Nexus was a dominant storyline that was a very successfull one..I mean this storyline dominated Raw and PPV's for the better part of 2010 and opnly involved the belt what once?

But i hope it doesnt either...I wanna see Nexus lay low untill Sheffield and Young come back andf its like a 7-9 person group...Dominate everybody and take all the belts..maybe bring a beth pheonix in or something?..Have the Divas belt too...

True but Barrett has also said that Nexus was just a very small piece of the puzzle so you can end the Cena vs. Nexus part of it and still keep the storyline alive.

You have it seem like Cena if free and clear of the situation only to drop a huge bomb on him by moving on to the next part of the big plan. Make it so every time Cena thinks he's won something or someone else steps up to prove him wrong until we finally find out who is behind it all.

We still don't know how the Nexus fits into the Undertaker storyline. When Undertaker was "buried" the Nexus said they did it for a reason.

So I think the Cena-Nexus storyline will tie into that.

I don't know, I think the next step is the internal power struggle and to see Barrett eventually get ejected from the group. Nexus has done it's job of establishing Barrett, now maybe it can do the same for someone else. I don't think Otunga should be that guy though, he needs to spend some more time in FCW

The Nexus higher power is Triple H not John Cena or CM Punk cause Trips can say he had Nexus and Kane bury the Taker as he destroyed DX and Evolution at WrestleMania as Vince would never turn Cena heel right now as far as CM Punk he was talking about Randy Orton, Evan Bourne, or a wild card Darren Young most likely. But Nexus will be around til after the draft of 2011. Cena-Nexus will end when creative has milked it for whats it worth, I think Barrett vs Cena at the Rumble as a grudge match for this yr.

The nexus isnt on RAW tonight and Cena is back to normal. Talking about the Rumble and WM. So what does WWE do? Put him against a mid-carder where it looks like he's having a rough time putting ZIGGLER away... I'm a Cena fan but wow... what a terrible angle to bring him back with.

I think this program has gone on long enough. Cena put the end to Nexus last night at TLC, by taking them all out throughout the ppv and then defeating Wade Barrett. I thought that Nexus should have turned on Barrett? Or something of that nature. They need to get on with the Nexus, maybe split them up into singles and tag teams. Plus I think Barrett can work in the title picture as a strong heel. John Cena will move on, get into the Rumble and somehow be in the title picture at WM or a high profile match.

I agree with that to a T. Although Ziggler is a great worker, so they should be able to have some good matches. I think the company is just at a pause with Cena. They will find something quick.

Wade Barrett will have to show up again soon enough. I think Nexus will catch all of us by surprise and show up all of a sudden one night.

Before they end Nexus they need to answer all these questions surrounding them. Why they attacked Taker? What this higher purpose is?

Triple H makes sense to be the higher power of Nexus and that does explain why Nexus buried Taker. But then Triple H has to get revenge on Sheamus and as you know The Nexus had a "truce" with Sheamus, why would Triple H want that? Personally and I know it's a long shot but maybe Miz could be the true leader of Nexus. Since he did coincidently win the title because of them and he was a pro on season1/2 of NXT. But then I don't know what the Miz would want with Taker.

As for Cena he'll be out of the title shot cos now Morrison is #1 Contender. So this feud would have to continue.

But this storyline ain't over not by a long shot.

I expect we will see Nexus again sooner or later. I don't think there is much for Nexus to do against Cena or as a group. They lost the tag titles, fired and rehired a man that continues to kick their ass on a weekly basis. Barrett lost the WWE championship match and the match to Cena. What else can they do? Are they even a threat? Barrett may want to challenge Cena to another match on Raw, but there is really no point to it.

Cena is definitely done with them. I think Cena/Punk will last a few months. I believe they will have a match at Wrestlemania.

Nexus has many issues within the group itself. So, it will be an angle just sorting those things out, amongst themselves.

Another side note to Nexus will be Skip Sheffield's return and also Tarver. That could really go any way. Maybe another group is formed, and 2 Nexus' battle it out.

I think a SmackDown run might be a great idea. I think Nexus in general was an awesome idea. So, a move to takeover SmackDown, with no Super Cena, could be a huge storyline. This time culminating with Barrett winning the title or something. Maybe from Edge.

All the rage lately has been Edge & Christian reuniting. How about that, Edge & Christian are the 2 main SD leaders trying to stop Nexus?

I think compared to many ideas that have been Raw's main story over the last few years. The Nexus/Cena was pretty good. It was somewhat innovative and definitely had a couple moderately decent climaxes.

So to make a long story short, I think Cena/Nexus is DONE for sure. Maybe the group is done for sure. But I wouldn't mind seeing what they can do on SmackDown. Hell, if it fails, they can use the internal problems that have occurred, as a break up idea.
