So Is This The End Of Cena vs. Nexus ?

Now that Cena has taken out or gotten revenge on every member of Nexus where does the storyline go ?

Do we see Nexus break up all together ?

Does Nexus split into multiple groups like the NWO did ?

Will they just wait in the shadows licking their wounds waiting for Sheffield and Tarver to get back and come back bigger and stronger than before ?

This has stumped me to.

I think they should have fired cena closer to WrestleMania rehire him then Cena and Undertaker vs Kane and Barrett. After Cena wins Nexus disbands and Kane and Undertaker call thruths.

otherwise if the Rivalry continues further it would be Redundant.

I don't think this is the end...nexus will want revenge...otherwise nexus was a waste of time...next step is to break up nexus and cena will have a hand in that...

i hope they don't since i do like nexus...cena is an idiot...i bet wwe tried to turn him heel but cena sucked so much he couldn't change because he doesn't know how

I think it is the end and it had a good run. It established Barrett as a top heel for years to come. Slater and Gabriel are a decent tag team that held the belts for a couple weeks. Rotunda and Perfects son's got their foot in the door and I see big things to come especially for Rotundas son.

I think Cena will move onto to focus on winning the Royal Rumble or start a program with whoever his WM27 opponent will be which could tie into the Royal Rumble.

I don't see Nexus as a failure at all, it was the dominant storyline in wrestling for the better part of 2010 so that is a great accomplishment. I never expected them to come out on top in this feud with Cena. I will say that the one thing that surprised me in the match tonight was the David Otunga was not involved. I really expected him to be the deciding factor in who won the match. Either coming down and siding with Barrett and taking Cena out or turning on Barrett assisting Cena in getting the win.

I think Nexus will not split, but compete with former members. I think Skip, Tarver, Young, Otunga, and possibly DB will combat Nexus until the "greater purpose" is exposed.

I think we're gonna end up seeing Nexus vs Cenation 1 last time at the Rumble.

Nexus: Barrett, Gabriel, Slater, McGuillicuty, Harris
Cenation: Cena, Otunga, Tarver, Sheffield, Young

Cena is probably gonna reveal his newest team to finally end Nexus once and for all. Nexus gets disbanded at Royal Rumble, Barrett faces Undertaker at Mania. Done deal.

I hope it doesn't. I cannot think of anything that nexus will do other than feuding with Cena.
But i suspect that now WWE championship will get Barret's attention and he will have to move on to realize the bigger picture he used to rant about. Barret might tell nexus to lay low for a while, and then at rumble takeout everybody else. Cena cannot fight nexus alone now and definitely needs an external help. I guess this is what rumble will be all about, that whether Cena gets another help or a betrayal.

I'm disappointed with how this went down. Nexus said they had a 'bigger plan' but everything revolved around Cena. I wonder if there was ever a 'bigger plan' or just a gimmick to get Barrett over. If Nexus does continue, it will be difficult to move past Cena because he's been wrapped up in it for so long. The battle has become pretty stale and predictable. What started as a huge surprise has become formulaic.
All in all, I don't think Nexus and Cena are over. I think this could go for another month or 2.

I can't see this as being the end. For the longest time there was no way to get Cena out of the title picture and keep him interesting. This angle has finally done that. Now that Morrison is the number 1 contender the WWE Championship Cena will have to wait and it seems that leaves nothing for Cena but to continue to feud with the Nexus.

I honestly hope it isn't the end. There was still the bigger picture which was never revealed or explained. If TLC was the end, it was horribly anti climactic. You need to end such major storylines in a dramatic way, like evolution breaking up.

I hope this isn't the end and I don't think it is...because it should end in a bigger way.

I do think we have seen the last of Cena vs Nexus for the time being.I think with the animosity that we have seen lately between Otunga and Barrett it would be cool if say Otunga were to become Nexus' new leader and have Barrett have his own stable since he has been dissapointed with Nexus, perhaps bring in someone like Brett Dibiase or Tyler Black (can't remember what name he is currently using)

I think so, and its about bloody time!
given the tag match, I think it will split into somethn like barret and the new guys vs gabriel, slater, and otunga.
then mayb Taker will return, but he will be feuding with Kane, and at best will seek semi revenge on nexus using his ``powers`` to cut them out of the storyline and prob to Superstars or other development.
Personally I stopped watchn WWE becaue of the rookies and think WWE used it as filler for 2010 more than establishing anyone cause honestly none of them look good to me (not even barret who I think is less a major heel and more a guy that should be repackaged as the next mark henry or otherwise enforcer).
Gabriel may be kept on as a high flyer and mayb heath as a jobber but the others are goners.

Bye Bye Nexus :)

It's a very good question. Cena did say that he was going to finish it as he had Barrett up for the AA. I'm sure that they won't stop confronting each other. Only this time they won't have a particular match in mind. It will probably be one of the angles going into the actual Rumble match. It'll be the old "We're going to stop you from winning the Royal Rumble, Cena!" thing.

what a pathetic end to an actually (once upon a time) refreshing story line. If the WWE "writers" could actually grow some balls and allow for a solid heel reign this could have been epic. But the kiddies wouldn't like that, so we're all forced into watching this horseshit week after week. They couldn't even fire Cena correctly. Pathetic. I'm glad I live stream these PPV's because they're flat out robbery.

Maybe one more match will take place. But, I see the group imploding. That would be an obvious direction to go with the group.

Skip Sheffield and Tarver will be returning soon. Plus the fact no one was there for Barrett at TLC. Also, Barrett did not help Otunga on Raw. AND Otunga seems to have a leader-kind of role with the group when Barrett isn't around.

So, there are all kinds of side stories going on within the group, and also on the horizon for the group. I think that would be a good thing to do. Not every guy in the group is going to get over and is a future WWE Champion. Having the group involved in a break up type storyline, and make a gradual, not just over night, could weed out the weakest links and expose the better talents of the group.

Just so you know, Cena was a heel in the past!! I hope the Nexus thing goes on for a little bit longer!! But, I hope to see Mcgillicuty leave Nexus and join The Fortunate Sons, if they still are going to do that

The thing is this all started because Cena stepped forward to help "save" the WWE. It wasn't a personal thing, it evolved into a personal battle, it makes me wonder how they can continue the Nexus without making the feud seem worthless in the end. The writers aren't going to make it so Nexus is still around causing hell while Cena is content that his feud is over and have him basically say "Well now it's someone else's problem" .

I expect a final match at Royal Rumble, a final nail in the coffin, probably spit Nexus between Raw and SD, eventually dissolve. Can't really see the future of Otunga, certainly wouldn't hurt going back to FCW but you have to wonder if his ego will let him. Gabriel and Slater have a future as a tag team, as does Harris and Mcgillicutty. Maybe that's how they can save or help rebuild the tag team division, much like they did in the early 90s.. put rookies together and let them flourish in a division without as much pressure.

here is what i wish to see, I hope they continue fueding with each other but hint to otunga turning and becoming face. Than finally get to the rumble have barret otunga n cena be the last 3 in the rumble. Have them eliminate Cena than have otunga turn his back on barret wining the rumble. Nexus can disband then having built two world champs (barret + Otunga) Tag champs (Gabriel + Slater) and future champs McGuillicutty and HArris

I think I see this as the end, at least for Cena as Nexus' core nemesis.

In the end Cena wins and the face looks strong. That's fine with me I just hope there's a way for creative to compensate Nexus. I would think the next logical step is for Barrett to win the Royal Rumble in a heelish stable faction like how Orton won in 2009.

This could probably setup a unification World Title match against Edge vs. Barrett vs. Orton. Cena is strong at the end but I think Nexus holding the Unified World Championship Belt at WM could bring Nexus back on track.

The best has yet to come i think. Picture this...cena beats nexus and they disband (for now). Then, at the rumble the nexus music hits, and down comes barret but with him is a new group made up of: big show, khali, nash and basketball player shaq, these would be introduced at the new faction "barret's giants" and they would "take control" of wwe.

Or...

Barret comes out at the royal rumble, with some of the nexus members, then d generation x music hits and out comes hhh, hbk, roadie, kip james, and centain fountain. Both factions join together in the ring and announce the forming of a new faction "D generation neXus" and they all do a massive crotch chop

"Did somebody call my name? if so make sure to call the first and second name as there may be more than one person with the same first name as me cause my names so popular!" lol

I hope it isn't the end because i want Nexus to kick Cena's ass and put him at least 6 month in coma...or at least outside the ring....I'm so sick and tired of Cena soo i really hope that Cena vs. Nexus isn't over jet..But i hope it will be soon whan their kick his ass....

in terms of cena not being in the title picture, this is the time where it really doesnt matter. he wants to win the rumble. morrison is getting the title shot at the rumble, which is an afterthought to the rumble itself. so nexus no longer needs to keep cena occupied. but, i dont think that nexus is over. they have talked about their higher power, and it will eventually be revieled. probably at wrestlemania. after that, they may finish up, but i feel their plans revolve around mania. we'll just have to wait and see i guess.

Well, there really isn't anything else these two men can do together and continuing this feud without inserting something huge into the fray would piss a lot of fans off. John Cena and the Nexus have had stable wars, singles battles, Cena joining Nexus and fighting from within... even Cena being fired completely from the WWE. The score has finally been settled and John Cena has defeated the Nexus, symbolised by the ending of their Chairs Match at TLC. Wade Barrett can have a hissy fit about this on RAW and Cena telling him it's over, but other than that it'll be redundant.

The harder question that the WWE have to solve is what's next for the Nexus? John Cena is a dead horse they'll be beating, they've feuded with the roster/tag team championships and the WWE championship is currently busy with Barrett being unsuccessful in three adventures to "gain custody" of the title. They can't keep the group together otherwise they'll be stale... so the only thing left on the cards is the entire faction splitting up, unless, of course, something huge is inserted into the fray (maybe explaining the Nexus' higher power that everyone has seemingly forgotten about).

Yeah, it is over and in great fashion too. There is really nothing left for them to do now as they have explored every possible aspect of this feud, from Cena forming a team to take on the nexus, to him joining nexus, to him being fired, to him taking them all out one by one and completely destroying Barrett in the process. There is nothing left to do in the feud and the WWE knows that so now it is over. We got some excellent matches, promos and overall great television and we have a new main eventer from it in Wade Barrett so I would say that it has been very successful.

The tougher question to answer is whether or not this is the end of the Nexus. I would be inclined to say yes given that the feud with Cena is over, their ventures in regaining the tag titles were unsuccessful and the WWE title picture is currently full s continuing on in any of those directions would be impossible. For them to stay together something big would have to happen i.e.. revealing the higher power (if their in fact is one), revaling their motifs for taking out Taker or HHH return and subsequent feud.

Yes, its over. It had started out as a war against the WWE Universe and it degenerated into a fight against John Cena and now it has ended with Cena defeating the mastermind of the troop, Wade Barrett.

But I do think that Nexus will remain together at least upto wrestlemania. There are still a few unanswered questions that remain. What is their bigger purpose? What was the real reason behind attacking The Undertaker? Till these questions are resolved I feel Nexus will continue to remain a group.

But they relly have nothing to do on Raw and so I think they would be best served by moving to Smackdown and wait for The Undertaker to finally finish them off once and for all.
