The fact that it's illegal is the reason for some of my best stories, though all smokers probably feel this way. I'm just fucking sick of pigs being dicks about it. That's what I'm really looking forward to with the eventual legalization.
Not to mention, being able to run up to the store and grab some kush will be fucking amazing.
Nope. Marijuana has never been a primary cause of death. It's been a secondary factor in cases where like the person OD'd on cocaine or heroin and marijuana happened to be in their system. But odds are, if a guy does heroin or coke, then he's going to smoke weed.

The government is pretty much just turning their backs on free money, when the tax on marijuana alone is going to bring in hundreds of millions you know you're gonna be reaching the billions when the government starts actually distribution of marijuana.
Every stoner has a bucket of great cop stories, and a few sad ones too. Thankfully cops don't care too much out here anymore, but I've dealt with plenty of dickish cops in my days of smoking.

Definitely, luckily nothing too bad for me or my buds. Cops for the most part are fucking pricks here though. It doesn't help that I live in one of the more Conservative states in the country.

Other than losing a few pipes and burbs, all in one go mind you, I've managed to keep my nose clean of ass hole cops. If I have to deal with it in one of the most liberal, tree hugging states around, than I can only imagine what you have to suffer through.
Because it's deemed to have such little therapeutic value that doctors can't prescribe it, and pharmacies aren't allowed to stock it. Falls in with ecstacy and LSD.
Crack is, for all intents and purposes Cocaine (Coke's a salt. That's the only difference), which (along with its derrivitives) are used as local anaestetics. Heroin (a brand name, originally) is a heavy duty painkiller. Well, it isn't, but it's converted into Morphine (which IS a heavy duty painkiller) in the brain, which Morphine can't easily get to (it's too polar to penetrate the Blood Brain barrier).

Where do you stand on hallucinogenic mushrooms, they are more deserving of being shoved in a group with ecstacy and LSD; but mushroom are all natural, where as I'm sure you know ecstacy and LSD aren't. Which is why I also wouldn't be opposed to the legalization of hallucinogenic mushrooms as well.

Shrooms fit in with LSD and all other hallucinogens in the "have virtually no therapeutic use" category along with Ecstacy like substances and cannabis.
A funny sidenote to this is that I've actually seen more heroin than I have cannabis, as I've been in an office sized safe (to home office specifications) filled with controlled drugs (most memorably boxes full of heroin for reconstitution (just add water) but I've never smoked weed (and I'd get booted off my course and job (after graduation, obviously) if I got caught). I know litterally nothing about mushrooms though, but I'm not keen on the idea of having hallucinogens readilly available (though there are potent hallucinogens available in england, such as Salvia). Just me though.
I'm also not keen on "natural" medicines being more legal than drugs derived form plants. Because there are a lot of them.
