Nice, Oracular Spectacular is quite the enjoyable listening experience, I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed it the first time through. Surprisingly enough I bought Oracular Spectacular and Psychic Chasm within like an hour of each other, they do go great together.

Question, what is the point of legalising weed?

Marijuana is basically a cash crop that's making money for a whole lot of people, by legalizing it and regulating it, California directly benefits.

Just the tax on Marijuana alone would generate hundreds of millions of dollars, police can focus on more important issues, and the state also saves a ton of money that they're currently using to hold thousands of "criminals" in jail, who are being held on basic marijuana charges.

Basically it generates money, and frees up extra money, in a time when California can use all the extra cash it can get.

It was like 54% No to 46% Yes, so it'll probably get passed in 2012.

I read somewhere that a lot of dealers/various stoners voted No because dealers don't want to lose their jobs and the various stoners don't want it to be taxed, not to mention it will be harder to get for people under 21. So it's kind of a dilemma among stoners/dealers.

Also the fact that you have 420 posts made me giggle.

I know for a fact my dealer went out and voted no, it's a fucking business and California (and the rest of America) are missing out on one of the easiest cash crops, of all time.

I go both ways, dispensary's are in Oakland, Berkeley, and Frisco, all of which are about 15-30 miles from my house, my dealer is a short 5 min bike ride from my apartment; and me and my girl share a car. So I gots to have my marijuana basis covered, the card basically already makes weed legal for me.

That's why I feel like it didn't pass. Weed is mad easy to get right now, and if it were legalized, it'd be hard for minors to get, like alcohol/cigs. Not to mention you basically kill the black market, as weed would be mad cheaper, like you said. Rather than a gram for 20, you'd get an eighth, if not more.

Honestly I don't see it as a big deal in California. You guys already have simple marijuana possession decriminalized and medical marijuana. If I were a dealer or under 21 (in Cali) I would have probably voted no.

It's definitely not a big deal out here, as you said, it's as simple as a trick to the doctor and weed can be legal for you in a matter of minutes.

There's still going to be a pretty decent sized black market for the under 21 crowd, but legalizing it takes out a big chunk of that market. The legalization of weed is bound to happen.
