Smackdown's future

It's a safe bet to say that the future looks dismal. With all of the talk about a disgruntled locker room, injuries, falling ratings across all WWE programming and an overall stale product, would right now be the time for WWE to pull the plug on the separate brands? Have we got to a point where all of the programming seems to be an over saturation of their product?

If WWE does decide to end the separate brands, will ratings for Smackdown improve?

Smackdowns rating s would improve greatly if they'd stop putting all these stars on raw and not even utilzing them.

Edge and Jericho NEVER should have been drafted. and IF they were they should got someone of equal main event status. I still feel edge and Jericho fit best on raw and they have done alot in wwe and should leave the "BIG Main show" for the new talent.

MVP should have never been drafted when he was drafted awhile back with the US title. MVP lost all momentum and has yet to gain it back.

If wwe does decide to join wwe on both shows, im certain the ratings will boost. I wont say anymore as i dont wanna offened anyones faviorite star on SD!

Smackdown! sucks. Plain and simple. Say what you want about "it's the wrestling show and RAW is the entertainment show". That is bullshit. Smackdown sucks on all cylinders. I love Kane, I'm a HUGE fan of his. Just look at my username. But he does not have the charisma needed to help a show that's on its last legs. Give that title to Edge or Undertaker, put a tweener Edge in a feud with CM Punk or something for the title. Jesus just mix it up. I'm so tired of so many guys not having any story-lines.

The creative team just sucks now.

Smackdowns rating would greatly improve if they stopped putting it on bullshit networks that alot of people dont get. Sci-fi? really? even My Network was bad. when it was on CW it was much better cuz everywun gets that station. But other than that, moving it from thursday to friday was a bad move too. Who's really gonna stay in on a friday night and watch wrestling. Nowun with a credible love life anyway lolz jk....

but seriously i think its mostly a matter of the networks it airs on and the timing. but then again, they dont even care about the ratings. im sure sci-fi is paying them an unreal amount more than MY so, there ya go. WWE is about making money, not ratings anymore....this would also explain the shit-hole storylines and angles, not to mention the whole PG thing

i dont knock there hustle at all, it just sucks that they dont care as much as they used to about the quality of the product

I think Edge is better suited to Smackdown, its "his show" in my opinion. Smackdown gained a bit of star power there but it is still lacking. If for any reason Batista decides to come back to WWE, then Smackdown has to be his new home. I think Raw can survive without either...although I would move Jack Swagger across to Raw with a little push to MID-MAIN event like Miz is now.

Alberto Del Rio will be pushing main event before long, Taker will be around for a while yet, Punk, Kane and Big Show give SD some credibility. I dont think the show would be as bad as it is now.

Well one of those you have named is off to Raw and it isn't an aging wrestler.

Smackdown itself isn't the problem, it has a nice mix. It has fresh talent that will one day some will take over the ranks on Raw. However I'll still maintain it is the draft split and the fact it is no longer needed. The WWE has far too much waste, joining them up allows Smackdown access to Raw's big players and allows Raw to Smackdown's midcard. Both lack what the other one has.

yes u got names like Alberto,dashing cody rohds,drew mcntyre etc....but they are all fueding with each other well except for Alberto.....wheres undertaker????hes fueding with kane and are these the only guys there?????

i remember when smackdown had all thes guys maineventing edge, jeff hardy,hhh,undertaker,big show,batista

and in a different time it had guys like eddie guerrero,rey,kurt angle,undertaker,jbl,booker t

and yes if they stop the brand split it would help the ratings alot

SmackDown's ratings would improve if WWE moved the show to another network, like WGN America or FOX. Another thing they need to do is book more programs with their top guys, like Edge, Christian, CM Punk, Jack Swagger, etc... Personally, I would like to see Edge and Christian work together again, as a tag team or feuding over the WHC.

They do seriously need to mix it up I do believe WWE might just fuse SD! and RAW to make... RAW... ¬.¬. If it is true that SD! traded CM Punk for Edge I mean that says it all, send another young potential best heel in both companies to RAW again why don't you. I do believe Del Rio needs the WHC and Undertaker and Kane can keep their fued going without it because they are huge stars nevertheless (Undertaker's Wrestlemania Streak is considered better than both Championships... that just says it all).

Does SD! have a tag team division... lol. I've gone way past the caring about SD! long time ago and all I do is watch highlights off WWE.com. If it doesn't have a tag team division I got an idea to make WWE's tag team stronger as a whole... bring back E and C ¬.¬. Make Edge friends with Cristian and stick them in RAW and send some other big stars to SD! to even it out (example being ... i dunno)... screw that join SD! and RAW and make it a super moday night show that rules all. I'd happily watch it lol.

IF WWE combines both shows, Smackdown will get worse. Back in the days before the brand split you had stoylines being told across both RAW and Smackdown, causing a ton of guys to take a backseat. Thats exactly whats going to happen now, and the roster was only half the size as it is now.

I dont follow Smackdown much, mostly because I am out of the house on Friday nights. Combining ALL the talent will help with ratings, but what about the guys on RAW that are already fighting for the spotlight?

To help Smackdown I say WWE brings over guys like Evan Bourne, Hart Dynasty, some Nexus members (after break-up) Usos, and Ryder...let them take a swing at a higher mid-card and ME. Smackdown has a ton of talent getting ready to part with WWE soon, start pushing guys better, make a tag team and a light-heavyweight division. Put Bourne, Gabriel and Kaval in a match together...ON TV, dont wait for PPV.

Knowing Vince, he will wait for TNA to start pushing ratings that rival Smackdown before he makes any sort of change. *NEWS FLASH* TNA is creating ratings, they already have me interested and Im not even a fan!
