Are you serious Frank, what has the guy done? He was a jobber to Braun Strowman. They brought him back in a programme against Styles, where he was Ambrose's helper. Yes he won matches against Styles, with the help of Dean Ambrose and once that was finished he became Carmella's protegee. That's one hell of a step down.

So legit, what has he done to deserve a spot over other full time roster members who have had feuds and been on the roster a lot longer than he has.

Ellsworth is a comedy jobber than that's what he has been hired to do.

Well if you watched last night he might be heading towards a showdown with Ziggler, so Crews would be perfect in the Rumble. Eliminating Ziggler would be a great excuse to get a feud going between the two of them.

Deserve has nothing to do with anything? There is a small handful of wrestlers that have any chance at winning the Rumble. James Ellsworth has as much chance as anyone else in that secondary bunch.

And he does have multiple wins over the World Champion.

Now even if he is in the Rumble he won't win, so give the spot to someone who just might.

Like who? You can't tell me Apollo Crews, Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder, any of the cruiserweights, David Otunga, <<insert any former superstar here>>, Mojo, or Howard Finkel has a chance. The fans are too smart for this, what is the point of leaving Ellsworth out for any of these guys?

Professional wrestling has never been about everyone lining up in a single file.

The people who deserve are the ones who can help entertain the most and tell the story of the Rumble. Ellsworth should add something to the match that other guys can't do without damaging their credibility in the form of comedy. Rumbles are long and mundane. They are remembered and appreciated for their surprises, spots, and ultimate finish. Ellsworth will help carry the match from being too generic and dull. Any other generic enhancement talent will just take up space.
