EC MF'N W

Pre-Show Stalwart
I thought Show #3 pretty good.

The opening match with Sabu and Roadkill I thought was a great way to open it up. Given the air time that ECW as a whole has I thought the match was perfectly timed and saw a number of decent moves.

Tommy Dreamer calling out the Big Show sucks. Big Show squashing Tommy sucks. Could have totally done without this.

Mike Knox and Doring was decent but it could have been longer and would have loved to see Doring get a little more offense in. The Kelly thing pissed me off at first but then I realized that this is actually the 1st real storyline in ECW.

The expose was the same old shit and so was Sandman caning the fat guy. Although I did find it a little more entertaining this time.

Main Event was good. Would have liked to see Van Dam grab a chair though. Maybe a Van Daminator or two. But, the match really picked up towards the end and I loved the finish.

Edge sucks. He should stay on RAW.

Overall the crowd was much better this week and was real into the 1st and last matches.

I give this episode a solid

81/100

I agree. Its good that the show is getting better every week but I'd like to see more of the old stars from ECW involved more in the show. Sandman vs Knox would be better than what they've got going on with the 2 of them now.
Edge does suck. They need to keep him, Cena and all other Raw stars off the show.
It still has to much of a WWE feel to me but it's definetly heading in the right direction.

I agree with you completely, even close with your rating! I too, thought this was a very solid show with the exceptions you mentioned. If Knox gets someone into a feud it might turn interesting, I was impressed with the short match but wish it was longer. They really do need to get rid of this Kelly expose thing like you said, and I would still like to see the crowd a little more into the show. As far as RVD goes, I'm glad I didn't see a chair used, because it got to show off Angel and RVD in a wrestling aspect(Although, I would've liked to see Edge get a Van-Daminator our two.)

85/100

It is improving....but it's the same outline every week so far.

Great opening match
Ex WWE guy squashes ECW Great
Vampire Outside Arena
Kelly
Sandman VS Gimmick Of The Week
Great Main Event Ruined by WWE Clowns.

But, as people said....it is better. And the fans sucked again. Whenever I'm watching a supposed ECW Event, I never want to hear a crowd chant, "We want Cena".

Well unless they start chanting "We want Cena Dead" or "We want Cena's head" to encourage someone to kill Cena.

Sabu vs. Roadkill - Good opening match. This was the closest they've come to the real ECW so far. I'm so happy they didn't make Roadkill look weak, but I do think it sucked that he didn't get an entrance and that he was just standing in the ring before the match started like a jobber. Maybe Roadkill will have a future in ECW after all.

Big Show / Tommy Dreamer angle: I'm getting tired of this. Dreamer takes yet another beating from Show, with him hitting pretty much the same moves as last week with a few body slams thrown in (big whoop). Why doesn't Dreamer live up to his "Innovator Of Violence" rep, take out the weapons and beat Show senseless? They're just making Dreamer look like a cupcake here, which is unfortunate.

Mike Knox vs. Danny Doring: Once again, a popular ECW wrestler puts over an outsider. I don't like Knox's speaking ability, his character, or his wrestling ability, which is typical for a guy his size and offers nothing to set him apart from the rest of the pack (good finisher, though - I'll give him that). And since he's Kelly's "boyfriend", I already hate him by association. Practically no offense from Doring - we continue to see Vinnie Mac piss on the ECW wrestlers.

Kelly's Expose: Do me a favor. If any of you are at an ECW show and this happens, I'm begging you to start a "BORING" chant or jeer. Maybe WWECW will get the message and finally dump this ****. Where the hell are Francine and Beulah?

Sandman vs. a fat male stripper: Sandman showing a sense of humor, then beating the guy senseless with the cane. Another predictable segment. Couldn't they just have him beat the hell out of Knox (and I'm sure he could)? On a related note - While WWECW insists on shoving Kelly down our throats, they never let her go nearly as far as this fat male stripper did. We had to look at this guy's arse, for crying out loud! Another waste of time.

Rob Van Dam vs. Kurt Angle: Good match, though more of a WWE style was displayed than ECW. I was expecting more intensity and more innovative maneuvers than what we had. Clean victory for RVD, who is starting to look invincible. I sure hope the WWE Title is taken off of him at Saturday Night's Main Event - maybe this will put an end to the Raw vs. ECW nonsense that's been going on lately. No surprise that I hated the Edge run-in - can't they take this show off of WWE life support already?

Other notes: I'm sure many of the SmackDown! fanatics who watch ECW are terrified of The Vampire. As for myself - every time I see this guy, I start laughing hysterically. He has nothing better to do than stand outside of the arena and make a "spooky" face. He looks like a Class A Assclown to me.

Test ... I don't know if his style will fit in with ECW. But this is definitely Vince's influence at play, since he loves pushing the big guy. I hope he still refers to his fans as "Testicles". But I doubt he will - the promos make him look like a serious heel. From a wrestling perspective, he and Mike Knox are pretty much the same person.

The "We Want Cena" chants prove one or two things: Either the fans are finding the ECW product boring (which it has been, with one or two decent matches if we're lucky), or what we've been saying all along: Taping in front of the SmackDown! audience was a very bad idea. I'm surprised none of the suits at ECW have thought of this yet, but here's an idea: Why not tape ECW on Tuesday and move the shoot for SmackDown! to Wednesday instead? Or how about just taping an ECW house show? Maybe they know that if they tape the show in front of an ECW crowd, the response will be negative like it was at the New Alhambra Arena in Philly.

Well just so u know Vince wanted to bring back Test on smackdown but Paul Heyman wanted him just like he really liked Mordicai or fake vampire guy.

it was a decent show... I think ECW's been getting better every week... and if Test or CM Punk debut next week, it will def be getting better every week

(150th POST!!! :-P lol)

We're all familiar with Test, so why are they taking so much time to promote him? The phrase "debuts next week" is generally used when the time has come, so I'm expecting another promo next week - I wonder who's going to get squashed when he arrives. Credible? Doring? Someone from The FBI? It's a shame that WWECW has such a low opinion of some of their talent that basically wrestling as a jobber is all they're good for.

I thought that the show was good, not great but its getting there. Mike Knox just doesnt catch my interest, he doesnt seem like anything special, when he tries to look"intense" i cant help but laugh. Sabu v. Roadkill was a good match, but i thought that ECW was supposed to be getting away from dumbass gimmicks. Amish? I am wondering, is sandman in good enough shape for a real match? Its benn a while and hes got kind of a gut. RVD v. Angle was a good, well paced match, with (i think anyway) a very suprising ending with rvd pulling out the W. The Kelly Expose is a waste of time, weve all seen breasts before. The crowd needs to get more involved. Are all the matches fought under ECW rules? or just the ones sabu is in? I remember a lot more tables, and people hitting each other with pots and pans, what happened to that?

I could write down a list of ways that ECW has been tainted with McMahon's influence, but here's one way that stands out - the emphasis on larger wrestlers. I don't remember the real ECW having a ton of larger guys, but WWECW is pushing Big Show, Mike Knox, Test, and Vampire (Kevin Fertig is what, about 6'4" or 6'5"?) on its limited roster. This is another reason why I have the feeling we're never going to see 30 minute + matches like we did in the past, because wrestlers like this don't have the stamina to compete for that amount of time.

You are aware that Amish Roadkill competed in ECW for several years, right? If it's a gimmick that was around in the original ECW, then it's alright.

While we're on the subject of gimmicks, how about this Vampire that they keep pushing? Shows you that WWECW is as open to outlandish characters as any other WWE brand. Maybe the wrestling Chef isn't too far off after all...

right kelly's expose is not just a weekly shit thing they are usin it so that mike knox gets all peed off and they have a storyline it will be good didnt u see kelly throw the towel back! plus they might get that "fan" in it and start a love triangle which will quite good i think

But must they take up so much time with it? I can think of all the productive things they could be doing that the old-school ECW fans would love, but instead they're playing to the nerdy bespectacled boys that have never seen a woman naked before.

As far as the "love triangles" are concerned - they should just leave that stuff to Raw and SmackDown. But who I am I kidding - this is WWECW. Whatever the people behind it try to call it, it's basically just "sports entertainment" in a different package.

Well from what I've read the Kelly and Mike Knox thing was Heyman's idea and he thought highly enough of Mike Knox to request his being brought to ECW from Deep South Wrestling. The whole Kelly thing is really just suposed to be a storyline to integrate Mike Knox into the roster faster. Heyman's great at promoting matches and has an eye for talent, hopefully we see where this is going sooner rather than later.

i just have to say this new breed of ecw really sucks ass, i mean every single week its the same it starts of with 2 ecw guys going at it ,then kelly says shes gonna take it all off ,then show gives dreamer a beaten, then it will show this vampire guy making a stupid spooky face outside the arena, then during kellys expose mike knox covers her up with a towel ,then some no talent loser gets beat by sandman then edge intterupts the main event involving either rvd or kurt angle in some way. Also they never even use weapons half the time, and also Big Show and Kurt i feel sorry for you now that your in ecw your just involved in the same shit week after week,at least when you were in wwe u had oppurtunities what oppurtunities have u got now that your in extreme crapy wrestling, and another thing ,is paul heyman and rvd gay together or what every week those two are talking in the back or there out in the ring.
