In a report sometime earlier this year/ late last year, the Rock said he was supposed to fight Brock Lesnar at WM30, but the plans got called off due to his other committments. He did however give an indication that he might well be available for WM31
As for the Undertaker, assuming he goes over Brock as the majority of fans expect, the popular opponent for the next Streak match, is Sting, if he does end up signing as rumours are suggesting.
Now, assuming that perhaps, Sting doesn't sign....how can the Rock top his "Twice in a Lifetime" match-ups with Cena if he does return next year? You guessed it; by taking a shot at the Streak.
I think it would be a wonderful build-up as well, since the Rock beat Hogan, Austin and Cena at Mania, and has done basically everything there is to be done that can be done by him. All, except the one thing, the likes of HBK and HHH,and even Lesnar couldn't do, defeat the Undertaker at WM.
Also, the fact that the Phenom has withstanded the era of Hogan, Austin and now, perhaps even be there when Cena hands over the torch to someone else, would surely make it a Monumental match-up and a huge Selling point for the next Mania,lMO.
Also, as it could well be the Highest opponent the Rock can get, considering he has defeated the Faces of 3 eras of WWE.... he can challenge the Streak and make it his last match.
Essentially do what HBK did and make it a Career vs Streak match.
The fact that the Rock's name isn't too popular at this time would also make it easy for him to assume the Heel role in the feud, and also, due to it being his final match(Not going to go over Taker,lMO), he would surely get a rousing send off at WM31 to end his storied career,lMO.
John Cena can wait till WM32....
Cheers.
Note: This is all assuming Taker doesn't suffer an unfortunate injury at Mania30 vs Brock.(I doubt he will in any case....Just saying.
