WZCW's Living Legend
I started doing server training at a restaurant today. It sucked majorly. I dumped a drink on this lady's back and I was mega stressed the whole time. My trainer sucked also, as his girlfriend works there and was way more focused on her than on training me. I got a kind of negative vibe from my supervisor, and I just really did not enjoy the experience.

I really don't want to do this job, but I don't like the feeling of backing out of something or being a quitter.

So, do I go tomorrow? Or do I hang 'em up? Poll soon.

Well, I'm umpiring little league games...and actually I have to drop 50 bucks to get all my licensing and uniform, and I wouldn't be able to make any decent money until AT LEAST next week. And I suck.

Haha, i don't think God works EXACTLY like that, at least in my experience. Sometimes God makes us make our own decisions. Otherwise, we don't learn anything. Life isn't some big guessing game to see if what we are doing lines up with what God is wanting.

But that's good advice, I'm going to go pray and sleep on it. If you think about it...help a brotha out and send one up for me.

Evolution 4 Lyfe. WOOOOOOOOOO!

Go in for a few days, you being nervous may also have been in a factor in why you feel so negatively about it. If you just calm down, and try tackle the situation head non, you know you've given yourself the best opportunity.

If you still feel the way you do about the other workers, and don't want to speak to your boss, at least you know you gave it a try, and that somethings just work out. But for everything that doesn't work out something new is just about to.

Ok i just thought of something. Tell your boss about your first day. Tell him that your trainer was more interested with his GF then training you. After you tell him that guage his reaction. If hes willing to help. Stick it out for a couple more days to see how it goes. If not Do what evolution would do

I agree with Monkey Mania. Do what he said.

I've had similar situations, and done the whole 'talk to the boss' thing. Sometimes the trainer is the bosses little personal bitch, and you could tell him that the trainer was sniffing glue whilst fucking his girl on the counter, and all he'd say is "Well he wiped it down afterwards, whats the problem?"

Another time, I mentioned it on Friday, came in Monday to a new trainer. He'd sacked the other guy on Saturday, jst for showing the company in a negative light.

Just check out how it runs man.

It was definitely a good idea to. It would have been one thing to test the waters, but not when it required you to plop down $50. There are plenty of jobs out there.
