so these two have been feuding for the past three weeks (I think) and been on the Abraham Washington Show, Benjamin eliminated sheamus for the no.1 contender battle royal and vise versa but illegally, they won a tag match but sheamus was jealous :p and thats it. so what do you think of this feud? do you think they should keep going with this feud or should they stop within a few weeks? i think this feud has alot of potential and may be better than the hurricane vs paul burchill IMO.

I'm not expecting much from this. It's a midcard feud on an hour long show, we aren't exactly going to be treated to a feud of epic proportions. That said, I'm a fan of Shelton, and Sheamus isn't half bad either, so if they ever were given some time to work, they could definitely put on a great match. Honestly I hope they don't put Sheamus over Shelton in this feud, because if the WWE ever does decide to move Christian up to Smackdown (or God forbid Raw..) Shelton could make a very good ECW champion. He's been getting more over with the fans again recently for the first time in awhile.

I don't expect much out of this feud, but it certainly has potential.

This should work fine. Shelton is just a failure as a heel, but as a face he can go back to just having solid midcard matches that get people talking. This is also good because it puts Sheamus into something other than just a jobber killer by giving him an actual feud with someone with credibility which is what he's been needing. At worst, it'll be average and nothing will happen to either guy other than keeping them busy for a couple of weeks. It's fine, nothing great, but certainly fine.

While I'm not a fan of Shelton, or Sheamus particularly, I can see myself enjoying this feud. It isn't going to be spectacular, but if they let them both get promo time and a proper story (similar to Hurricane-Burchill) if could be fun. Shelton as a face would work quite well, as his face-ish promos on the Washington show have been entertaining, and his full ring style works with him as a face.
This could get both men over if done correctly.

I agree that this fued has a lot of potential. These two are both great wrestlers and can put on quite the match if given a ppv time. It really seems like these two really hate each other and that's a good thing. Besides any fued that involves Christian or the ECW Championship, I usually don't care much about any other fued. However this one seems like it can be a very good one. I agree that Shelton Benjamin should be put over in this fued, as Sheamus won his last fued with Goldust and Shelton hasn't really had a real fued since moving to ECW (besides the short ones with Yoshi Tatsu and Zack Ryder).

I wouldn't count the "feud" between Yoshi and Shelton a feud. It was a win by Tatsu in his debut followed by a victory for the Gold Standard the following week. Thats two guys putting each other over. The one with Ryder had two single matches which Benjamin won both of. Call me crazy but I don't think he lost that one. A loss hurts neither man. This feud could be interesting.

I'd like to see something come out of this feud. However, it is ECW, and it is a mid card feud and the 2 still havent faced off that much. Would be nice to see though.

This is the exact reason why Shelton is on ECW. The WWE understands that he is an amazing talent and is as frustrated with his inability to get over the the crowds as we are, so they put him on a 3rd rate television show to allow him to push the new talent. I believe that when this feud is over, Sheamus is going to get a nice rub whether he wins OR loses.

And I definitely agree with Xfear (as usual) by saying that Shelton would make a very good ECW champion. His mic skills are still a bit sub-par, but his face turn seems to be helping his crowd reaction. I think that if he was able to capture the ECW title many internet fans would be happy and he would make ECW a smarky show to watch.

As for Sheamus, like I said, win or lose, this guy is going to make a name for himself once this feud is over. If it goes well, he should be able to jump to Smackdown within the next 3-6 months, in my opinion. The WWE doesn't seem to be wasting time in moving ECW talents up to the premier television shows (i.e. Jack Swagger). They're desperate to make new stars and I'm sure they can't wait to roll the dice on Sheamus.

this should work just like the sheamus goldust fead. (which was great by the way) benjamin will be used to give sheamus some more great matches and sheamus will eventually become ecw champ

Isn't it funny how now that Shelton is going face, he no longer dominates his matches!?

I know it's typical heel vs face match to have the heel dominate and the face do the come back, but nonetheless, I liked Shelton style more when he was the one bringing the pain into the opponents...it fitted more his image, I think.

I do like the way they are building this feud though. Its been almost a month since they started and we haven't had a real match. No matter how this ends, they should give these guys a proper 15-20mins match with plenty of action

:)

I only saw pieces of this Tuesday, but I like the potential behind it. They're contrasting styles are a simple formula for a mid-card feud, and both can use the TV time. As just about everyone else has said though, this is a mid-card feud, on a midcard program.

Unless this feud ends up with a big payoff match, and then gets rekindled if/when one of them has the ECW strap, it will end up being pointless.

Hopefully this feud will really pick up as this would help both parties. Sheamus would have a solid opponent to face and Shelton could help his cause in going back to a face here. I just don know why nothings really happened yet.

I like this feud. It's old fashioned in the way that two guys have a disagreement and things boil over from there. Nothing flashy. Also, this will only spell good things for Sheamus, who I think has loads of potential. This also gives Shelton a chance to not only elevate Sheamus but himself in the process. I actually don't think this match will have a quick blow off like Sheamus and Goldust. I could see Sheamus winning the first match between them with Shelton winning the the final contest between the two. Also wouldn't it be cool to see Shelton jump up for Pay Dirt only to have Sheamus catch him and hit that urange backbreaker he does? Wishful thinking.
