Shawn Michaels Possible Heel Turn

Borck Lesnar

Dark Match Winner
Bryan and Orton battled aggressively inside Hell in a Cell.

The Hell in a Cell is a 24-foot-high roofed cell (enclosed steel cage) structure surrounding the ring and ringside area. In a Hell in a Cell match, there are no disqualifications or countouts (also no escape). It’s also a good way to prevent outside interference like what occurred at Battleground.

The only way to win Hell in a Cell is by pinfall or submission inside the ring.

The intense matchup eventually saw Michaels accidently knocked down in the corner. That’s when it got a little crazy. Bryan had Orton pinned, but there was no one to make the count. Bryan tried to assist Michaels as Triple H ran to the ring and demanded the door open.

Of course, referee Mike Chioda obliged.

After Triple H pushed Bryan away from Michaels, he revived Michaels. Bryan then let his emotions get the best of him and nailed The Game with the Busaiku Knee Kick (running single leg high knee), laying out the COO.

With his best friend motionless on the mat, Michaels’ fiery emotions got the best of him, and he superkicked Bryan. Orton then rolled onto Bryan. Michaels hesitated before making the count, almost questioning what he just did, but he counted, and Orton became the new WWE champion.

A happy Triple H strapped the belt around Orton’s waist, and Orton (alone) celebrated in each corner to end the show.

So was Hbk just standing up for his friend, or was shawn michaels screwing over daniel bryan? Will Hbk stay face or was that a heel turn?

Raw will give us the true answer but there is very little to gain from a HBK heel turn accept a potential DX vs Bryan and Show. I think they should play it off as Michaels defending his best friend. I think HBK should then he say he regrets coming back as he was made to choose sides between his BFF and Student and then walk out of Raw emotional and not return for bit.

He just posted on twitter saying it is the fans fault for hbk screwing bryan.

So hbk is heel :(

HBK's starting to blame the fans for what happened to Bryan, so this indicates he's not exactly 'heel', but he doesn't support Bryan for what he did. It'll boil down to HBK valuing his friendship with HHH more than training DB, which will prompt some kind of match with HHH and Bryan and have HBK involved somehow.

Either way, the ending was predictable and doesn't really solve anything. Makes me think this program might run into Wrestlemania or at least the Royal Rumble.

As a huge fan of Michaels growing up...I still would not want to see him return to the ring. His career ended perfectly with an emotional farewell speech. I would want to see him tarnish that moment.

However, a heel HBK on WWE tv every now and then will be must-see. Theres so many ways this can go. I would like to see HBK/HHH/Orton run the show for awhile until Vince comes back. Possibly leading to a match for control of the company at Wrestlemania. Just dont know who would represent Vince because I sure as hell wouldnt want to see him in the ring.

I wonder what "blaming the fans" means in this case. HBK is king of spewing the "couldn't do what I do without all you fans" crap. Maybe he's ticked that the fans keep bothering him to come back no matter how many times he has said, "no".

Clearly the goal in all of this is to get everyone to tune in to Raw for an explanation ("Why Shawn?!?! Why?!?!). The biggest, although unlikely payoff in all of this is to get HBK to come out of retirement to give Bryan the rub. I would watch Survivor Series if they could pull that off.

Or maybe we'll find out that HBK wants to kill all vegans.

In other news, I'm considering that it's a possibility for Cody to come out the heel in a feud against his more inspiring, more entertaining, older brother.

To be honest, I was a little surprised that he superkicked Bryan. I knew he would superkick someone but I thought it would be a member of The Shield or Triple H.

The problem is this is meant as a heel turn is that HBK isn't on every week and is immensely popular. Not all crowds will boo HBK because quite frankly, he is one of the most loved superstars of all time. I mean, Shawn Michaels or Daniel Bryan. It's not even a contest.

That is why I can't see it being a proper heel turn and him aligning himself with Triple H. Moreover, I don't think Shawn will ever wrestle again, unless its against Triple H at WM30. Of course, Triple H has now corrupted Shawn which may lead to a match. I personally don't think it will happen but Shawn hitting a superkick on Bryan could be the start of that.

Shawn Michaels shouldn't come out of retirement and wrestle as he retired memorably with a special farewell and him returning would although be very exciting to watch, and would make a lot of fans mark out but this would tarnish that farewell. And IMO Shawn Michaels shouldn't turn heel as he would without a doubt still get cheered anyway. So I am very interested to see what happens next on Raw.

HBK's starting to blame the fans for what happened to Bryan, so this indicates he's not exactly 'heel', but he doesn't support Bryan for what he did.

This is my feeling as well. I don't expect to go full heel just like that, but slowly start agreeing with what HHH preaches as what is best for business. HHH slowly manipulating the minds of every one around. I felt that if they wanted to further blur the lines, they should just bring some of the members of the Kliq back and give them high ranking jobs within the company. If the rumors are correct and Vince is going to come back and go against HHH, then Vince can use his pull to hire people he wants to combat the influence of the Kliq in his company.

In my mind they should have just gone the simple route of letting d-bry win.
This is ridiculous, honestly a lot of people have to be sick and tired of all this . It Is happening so often that to be honest I doubt people would even be happy if daniel ever wins it. There won't be that excitement or thrill. Wwe is just getting annoying. But hey as long as Vince is happy right, I mean look at the champions we have orton and cena, Vince must be in heaven
