Quite a concentrated list so far. I never pegged you for a fan of the Decemberists, though the Pink Floyd makes a lot of sense. I found it hard to pick a single song of theirs- I prefer to listen to the albums as a whole rather than split up.

I think the only way I could get a list of 100 is to put my entire collection on random shuffle and take note of the first 100...

Actually I am currently 12 hours into a MEGA shuffle. Would the Muppet Show TV Theme being in many people's Top 100?

I'm going to get round to doing this eventually. The reason I haven't so far is because once I start something like this I tend to obsess over it until it's perfect. That would involve listening to an enormous amount of music over the next few days and I don't have the patience right now.
Looking over what other people have mentioned, The Great Gig In The Sky (Pink Floyd), Horse With No Name (America, great band) and When The Man Comes Around (Johnny Cash) are the only ones with a chance of getting on my list. I think I'd probably enforce a 1 artist, 1 song rule as well.
