I don't buy that logic because no one would out Benoit over Hogan or anything like that. In wrestling, what we are judging, The Rock is a top drawer competitor. Otherwise Ken Shamrock should be in this thing and he'd beat the crap out of guys like HBK and Bret Hart in "the real world".
I'm not talking about "the real world." I'm talking about "the wrestling/kayfabe world."
And if Benoit and Hogan faced off (which I believe they have already), Benoit would probably be on the winning end. Once again, it's about believability and Benoit's moveset would convince more people to vote for him.
The Rock was incredible in his day. But we all fell in love with his personality, not his in-ring body of work.
