** Beware, if you do not want to be spoiled for this weeks episode of Friday Night Smackdown, please do not read on. **

As you will see on Smackdown this week, Umaga seems to be hurt during his main event match with WWE Champion Triple H. After only about 4 or 5 minutes into the match, Umaga tries to clothesline Triple H out of the ring I believe, but HHH dodges Umaga as the Samoan Bulldozer goes flying over the ropes and lands on his knee in a rather awkward position.

Umaga starts yelling over what seems to be a legitimate injury. Straight after, Randy Orton and Legacy come out and attack Triple H. There was still plenty of time left of air time when this occurred, so one would have to think Umaga is injured again. Apparently from reports that I've heard, the referees put up the "X" sign meaning he needed to be carried out of the arena. They never showed Umaga again on screen after his apparent injury.

This is just terrible in my opinion. Umaga just came back from a rather long injury, but returns only to be injured once again. He's barely had any matches since being drafted to Smackdown last year. My guess is that Umaga most likely won't return to at least SummerSlam, but that's purely my prediction only.

What are your thoughts on Umaga's knee injury? Is it time for him to possibly be released, or should he stick around as he is just a victim of bad luck?

I think Umaga's situation is very much like Kennedy's, in that the injuries come at the worst time for them both. I think Umaga shouldn't be released, purely because he does things that a guy of his size isn't expected. He's atheletic, energetic and can pull off a great match. Where Kennedy's momentum has completey stopped and I personally find it hard to get behind him, I can actually get behind Umaga, yeah he took a big period off to injury but he came back and pulled off some squahes but showed he is still professional and will deliver.

I wish him a speedy recovery and that creative give him something good to put him in. Could be a good chance to rival Triple H as "the man who injured him". Also isn't his a second/third generation star? The Rock/Rikishi's cousin? Could fit in the place that Manu couldn't do!

This would really suck if Umaga is hurt again. I hope he doesn't become injury prone like Kennedy. This is one of the few big guys I like. I could honestly see a world title going around his waist, which is rare these days for big men who don't speak much. Please don't let it be too serious.

Umaga is a heel card filler. Like Mysterio is a face one, kane is a tweener one.
I thought there was hope for Umaga, if Manu came to Smackdown in the draft they could of formed a tag team. Won the tag belts and been dominant.
I think Umaga's release is inevitable. He won't win another title in WWE, and really what use is he? He seems to be injury prone which never works to a superstars advantage of keeping his or her job. I think that he will be gone by next year's Wrestlemania.

I belive Umaga is ok. I was at Mohegan Sun and saw that as well. But much later, a lot of wrestlers were out eating, a bunch like...nm, no spoilers. Anyways, My buddy and I went back to a quiet part in top floor of casino where Jordans steakhouse was. Legacy was in there, and while i was talking to my buddy, Umaga walked by in street cloths and appeared ok. Doesn't mean he is, but it doesnt seem serious.

Good. I don't really like Umaga. Maybe t's because I haven't seen his "OMG SUPER AMAZING" matches. I just see no reason to get behind him. Now, I'm sorry that he's injured, but as long as it keeps him off my TV, I'm fine with it.

that sucks, i like umaga since he can do awesome things for a guy his size. his samoan drop for example is great. i was hoping for a pus, but if he is injured again that's not gonna happen soon. hopefully his injury isn't that bad.

I can't honestly say i've missed the guy tbh. Sucks that a good worker has gotten himself injured again, but it's not like he was likely to be used at WM anyway.

I'm sorry to hear that a good worker has been sidelined more or less straight after returning, but i honestly haven't missed him at all, so i'm not exactly disappointed.

The difference with him and Kennedy however, is that they put Kennedy in a movie (yes a crappy straight to DVD movie, but still), so they'll likely keep him around for a while, because they can obviously make some $$$ out of him. Can you honestly say that about Umaga?

Can you honestly say that about Umaga?

A big guy that's a good worker? Yes. You only need to look at all the worthless big guys that WWE has pushed over the years to notice how important Umaga is to WWE.

Kennedy is easily replaceable. In the 3 and a half year's he's been on the main roster he's spent half of it injured. He hasn't had any serious momentum since he killed Eddie Guerrero with a chairshot.

I saw the way Umaga landed on his knee and it didn't seem like he landed any way awkwardly to be injured. I even watched a repalay and couldn't see it. I hope that this injury will not take away any of his ring time... hopefully he'll be back before Wrestlemania and maybe he'll just need a knee brace.

I have only sen Umaga in action once or twice but from what I sawn I can say I do enjoy him and I wish him a speedy recovery if he is indeed injured, but it may have been a kink and he just needed to put some pressure on it or something, or maybe he just needed some ice and he will be ready to go as of the next week or two.

I no longer get Smackdown, so I can't say I'll be greatly effected. I doubt he was due to headline Pay per view matches, barring a possible entry into the Money in the Bank match, so this is only going to hurt for a small term point of view.

The bigger picture here is, Umaga is an amazing "big man" Wrestler. He has the unique ability to go out and put on good-great matches against Wrestlers of all sizes, so that in and of itself definately hurts the company.

I'm leary on whether or not they'll keep Umaga on their roster because of this, however. I say that, because they've released other talent (such as Big Daddy V) due to injuries and being unable to stay healthy for long periods of time. And Big Daddy V used to be a good big man Wrestler, himself.

Granted, I see Umaga being a lot better, and as a result depending on how much time will be needed before a return, I'm unsure what would happen. This is unfortunate, but that's the risk that happens in this business as well.

If Umaga was on Raw, or definately E.C.W., I'd miss him. Because he's on a show I can't watch anyway, I can't say one way or another because outside of being in a bigger role (ie. Champion that defends on ppv's) I wouldn't of seen much out of him to begin with.
