I'd kind of prefer RVD to win, I'm thinking he probably won't win though.

I really don't like watching Sting with the World Title anymore, I wouldn't mind another RVD run.

But I'm thinking Sting is going to hold the title til Slammivsary. And then "pass it off" to someone else... like... he always does...

I really hope they have a King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary and someone else can run with the belt... AJ Styles... Bully Ray... Mr. Anderson...

Why do I feel like it won't be RVD vs Sting? Call me crazy, but the way Anderson was acting, I expect Anderson to take RVD out and force Sting to choose him instead of Van Dam. I'd prefer an Anderson - Sting match over an RVD - Sting match, not because he's a better wrestler (he is not), but because it will add the unpredictability factor. You can't really say if Anderson is going to win or lose. We've had some out of the blue title wins in TNA, so you can never be 100% sure.

But if it remains RVD - Sting, then I just hope Sting retains. RVD had a run with the belt and it was sucky. Plus, who cares about him? RVD's loveable but not that loveable. He's not the one to end Sting's reign. It was a good one, and the rub should be given to someone who can mind his own words in interviews and preferably not state that he's bigger than the company.

Yeah, I'm lookin' at you, RVD-ouche. I thought him pointing at himself while saying his own name for a decade and a half was just kayfabe egoism.

Sting should have a long title reign. I'm a fan of longer title reigns and it's better for the belt's prestige. RVD will definitely put up a fight and this match should steal the show while being the obvious main event as well. There might be an interference or two from Anderson too although I doubt it. Sting's got my vote to retain because he has all sorts of others he could still face afterwards and is a better champ than RVD. Sting moves on to feud with Anderson while RVD does some random filler feud in the upper midcard. I'm looking forward to this match the most out of the current card and I think it will be a great one.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
Sting will retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Unless they throw Anderson in the mix again, I don't think this match will have a new champion. It will probably end in a non finish with Anderson getting involved one way or another. Sting vs. Anderson will probably take place at Slammiversary, or a triple threat again with RVD and Sting.

I see Sting retaining until at less september since unless the plan changes, He schedule to face Ric Flair this summer and maybe Hogan at Bound for glory, so having said that, this will probably be a really good match and since it'S the main event, i'm kinda seeing a lot of interference in this match. The winner of this match will face Mr. Anderson next and while i think that RVD vs Mr Anderson is a better match, the fact that Sting and Anderson have been involve in a feud make me think that Sting is winning this match, maybe with the help of Anderson.

Sting will definitely retain here. It's pretty clear that the match they are building to for Slammiversary is Sting vs Anderson for the World Title. RVD will lose his one-on-one match, hopefully clean, so thus RVD's bitching will be over. And Anderson will get his shot after that, so we won't have any more bitching about title shots.

Anderson's title shot could come at Sacrifice though. I could see Sting beating RVD clean, and Anderson coming down after, claiming he wants his title shot now. He beats Sting in a heelish type way, and ends up defending it against Sting at Slammiversary. The first option is way more likely, as a clean victory over Sting at Slammiversary would be way bigger than a heelish type victory at Sacrifice.

Should be a solid match here as they had a good match last year at Slammiversary but don't expect a five star classic or anything.

Finally RVD gets his World Title shot, one on one for a world title he never actually lost. I'm ready for this match but at the same time, knowing Anderson's annoying ass is always hanging around these guys makes me want this thing to end soon. Hopefully this match ends fairly without Anderson rearing his ugly head and him not being on the card makes it almost a hundred percent sure he'll show up. This match might be entertaining but I don't see Sting losing here, especially with Anderson winning the number one contendership battle royal, it seems unlikely TNA would go the Anderson/RVD route instead of the much more anticipated Sting/Anderson route. Sting wins here, I wouldn't be suprised if some kind of curve happens but Sting will win here.

Hamler's Prediction- Sting

It should be a good match and could very well steal the show. While I wouldn't mind seeing RVD have another run as champion, I'd much rather see Sting retain and have a long title reign. As Dagger said, it does good for the title's overall prestige. And I'm about 90% certain that he'll be having a title reign that won't end until Bound For Glory at the earliest anyway. I also predict a Sting win because TNA has been building a lot of tension between Sting and Anderson for the longest time already so I think it would make sense to have Sting fight Anderson for the title at Slammaversary or whenever Anderson gets his title shot. I'm also hoping that we'll get another AJ/Sting title match at some point down the road.
