I find him amusing. He played the underdog role well when he got a spot in the EC chamber match. He is entertaining, but a little of him can go a long way.
Should the WWE take the US Championship of of him?
Yeah it is time for him to not have the US title. He doesn't need it, and he hasn't really defended it at all.
Can Santino be a legitimate champion, while still keeping his "goofy" personality?
I don't think so. He could if he was goofy outside the ring and strictly business in the ring. He is a good wrestler and I wish WWE would show it more.

I don't have a problem with the cobra. It sells a lot of hand puppets I am sure. It should not be his finisher, but it would be ok as a setup move.
