Samoa Joe is a beast. He started so well in TNA but simply got the World Title at the wrong time. Poor booking.
Back then you could accept Joe as a threat. He was big but he could move and fitted well within the X Division.
Since then, Joe put on a lot of weight and while his movement and basic agility seems unaffected, it is the simple concept of a wrestlers "look", which means he cannot really be taken credibly by the bookers any more. The way I see it, Joe should have taken better care of his diet etc because carrying as much excess weight as he is, how can he be expected to be booked as a serious contender when there are better looking options all around him.
As a regular talent, complaining never gets you anywhere. Now we know he is suspended and has criticised the company in public. AJ and Angle have done the same so something has happened backstage that we may never know about. That is simply unacceptable. Wrestlers know that they have to take the rough with the smooth. It's a part of business. Joe should have accepted it, worked harder in the gym to get back in shape, put on the best matches that he could and he would be back in good graces.
Now I accept Joe has suffering poor booking during his TNA years, but he is hardly alone. And whatever he has done, it must have been serious, even if it was not justified because TNA has previous when it comes to suspending talent for outbursts.
He is better off at home, than going around jobbing which is what he would had he been in WWE and failed a drugs test.
Sorry for the brevity of this OP Coco. I only just found out that I had been drafted in as Ty's replacement.
