Round 2; 7 halo v 58 Resident Evil 2

This was an extremely tough one for me, as these are two games that I have played endlessly. In the end I had to go with Halo. As great of a game as RE2 is, I can't rightfully say I enjoyed/played it more than I did Halo. I still play Halo to this day, and so do thousands of other people. The online servers are just as full as the day it was released. RE2, while an amazing game that will always remain one of my favorites, can't rightfully go over Halo for me here.
I voted Halo, begrudgingly. I wouldn't blame anyone if they voted for RE2 though, they're both great games.

Tough choice on this one. Played them both, and got a soft spot for them. I gotta say though, I'm more the guy that would play Halo more often than Res2. Call me crazy, or stupid or whatever, but to me, replay value is better on Halo, especially on the multiplayers. That, and it's been a while since I've played any Resident Evil game at all, so I don't have much to compare between these two games now

I'm breaking the trend and voting Resident Evil 2. I can't say anything bad about Halo and I'd rather these 2 both go through but I enjoyed Resi 2 more than I enjoyed Halo which is why it will get my vote. I honestly cant think of anything else to put as everything has already been said
For two huge games like this, that made breakthroughs for their genres at the time, it really comes down to replay value and of course fanboyism. Halo haters and vice versa will immediately turn away and the same goes for those who despise survival horror (You'd be surprise how many people don't like it). Being a huge fan of both of these great games, I gotta give my hand to Halo and it's ground it set for FPS from the last-gen on and of course it's crack like addicting multiplayer.
I find Halo to be over rated... But I'm generally sick of FPS games, so I would think that.
If I put aside my dislike of current FPS's, I still gotta go with Resident Evil.
Halo has great multiplayer and the vehicles are very innovative. But Resi just sucked me in so much more. Halo gets kinda repetitve on single player, I mean there's only so many times you can shoot at aliens before you've done it enough. But Resi 2 keeps you consistantly interested because you don't know what's going to happen next. You don't know if some creature is gonna burst out of a door or fall from the ceiling in front of you. It's like you're addicted to the game, but you don't want to keep playing cause it's scary.
So yeah, Resident Evil 2. But I do like Halo.

This is a pretty epic matcup. Two very good games, but you can't go against Halo here. The game has made a huge impact. It's the main reason that many people buy an XBOX. Single player, multi player, and online mode are all incredible. Nothing against RE2, just a case of Halo being too good.
