ROCKAMANIA #6: The Rock should return as a heel

Ever since The Rock came back last year and defeated internet darling Cm Punk for the WWE title, The Rock became the public enemy #1.

The Rock's name was mentioned many times on WWE TV since he left.


The RAW after Wrestlemania 29, when the announcement of Rock being injured was announced by GM Booker T, fans chanted "BS".

On a segment showing Brock Lesnar destroying Triple H's office, Paul Heyman stopped at the Rock royal rumble poster and said "Would you look at this guy?". Some people cheered and others boo'd.

On RAW July 1st, Bryan claimed he wants to win MITB and become WWE champion and added to the list of legends like Bruno, Hogan (his name was cheered), Austin (his name was cheered) and The Rock (his name was boo'd).

On last week's raw, Hogan mentioned The Rock's name and it didn't get any reaction.

The Rock should use all that negativity from fans to bring back one of the most entertaining characters in wrestling history, Hollywood heel Rock.

There never was and never will be another entertaining heel like The Rock.

Yeah okay. One of the biggest stars in wrestling history beloved by fans around the world will come back as a heel and it will get over. Might as well have Batista come back as a face and fans will just cheer... oh wait...

The Rock is done. He should honestly never come back for another match. The way he went out was just fine. If he's inducted into the HoF and has a last match at Mania that year, why would he ever come back as a heel? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. You want him to be cheer and revered Saturday night during the HoF but booed as a credible heel the next night? Dumb idea.

Well, it depends.

First, I don't think The Rock should be inducted into the Hall of fame next year.

I've never seen The Rock hated as much as he is right now since 2002.

The Rock should leave the people wanting more, not wanting less.

It's not a case of "let's just get over with this guy, put him into the hall of fame and get rid of him".


When The Rock goes into the Hall of fame, he should get a proper reaction.

Inducting him when his popularity is at an all time low is not a good idea.


His last heel run made him gain a lot of fans back.

It's better to be cheered as a heel than to be booed as a face.

Maybe have him turn heel for one more run then he turns face in his next short run where he'll get inducted into the Hall of Fame.



Also, in my opinion, his match with Cena should definitely NOT be his last match.

The crowd reaction during the match and the ending, it's just not way The Rock should go out.

And the match wasn't great, it was good but compare it to Austin or Shawn's last match, compare the booing towards the end of the Cena-Rock II match to the reaction of fans after Flair retires at wm24. Certainly not the way The Rock should go out.
