Road to Wrestlemania idea

After watching Monday Night Raw last night it looks as though WWE will likely be going for a Triple Threat Match, Randy Orton defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena and Daniel Bryan. Now that sounds pretty darn good giving all three of those men have been the top dogs in WWE for quite some time now. However I also had a good way for WWE and there road to Wrestlemania and it goes something like this...

Two weeks after TLC

John Cena has told Orton countless times over the last 3 weeks that if Randy defeats him at TLC, everybody will be after him. Cena offered Daniel Bryan a shot as soon as he won. So Monday Night Raw concludes with a Championship Celebration, Orton, The McMahons, Triple H and Kane. The WWE Locker room is on the ramp way. John Cena interupts and talks about how everybody up on the ramp is going to Work there hardest to get a shot at Randy, Que Daniel Bryan who mentions that he had Orton beat the week before after Orton got DQ'ed. Moments later several WWE Superstars on the ramp talk about how it's always Bryan and Cena in the spotlight. Vince stops everything and announces that Randy Orton will defend the Championship in the Royal Rumble Match! Orton livid, kicks a few props and gets in Vinces face.

Royal Rumble Match comes down too CM Punk, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan and John Cena. Punk eliminates Bryan much to his dislike, Triple H enters the ring and brawls with Punk taking Punk to the floor eliminating Punk leaving Orton and Cena. Cena Shockingly eliminates Orton to Win the Championship.

Now here's where WWE can utilise the Elimination Chamber. The Winner faces the Champion at Wrestlemania. Also at Elimination Chamber, Orton gets his Championship rematch. Cena retains in clean fashion leaving Orton irate at the Authority. Inside the Chamber is, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, The Big Show and Rey Mysterio. It comes down to CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Triple H could interfere distracting Punk allowing Bryan to hit his running knee strike for the win. Bryan goes on to Mania.

So Wrestlemania is coming around. Randy Orton forces Bryan to put up his #1 Contenders shot on Raw the next week. Bryan agrees and the two collide once more. They brawl causing the referee to end the match on a DQ! Vince McMahon announces that Cena will defend in a Triple Threat Match at Wrestlemania, Cena, Orton and Bryan. Ultimately Bryan wins at Mania in clean fashion pinning Randy Orton so they can continue with Bryan vs Cena after Mania.

This idea would certainly shake things u and it also sets up CM Punk and Triple H at Mania.

I like your idea very much. Unfortunately I doubt they would do that but if they did try that then buyrate would be sooooo high.

While this sounds like a somewhat kool idea, there are some parts that I can't really get behind.

1) Why does it have to be John Cena who is doing all the talking? Why not a different wrestler that speaks up and tells Orton that he's a marked man or even Bryan saying it himself.

2) If you have Cena in the last 4 remaining people in the Royal Rumble then it's gonna be ZERO shock to him winning by anyone else other then the little kids that cheer for him.

3) I like the Idea of Triple H screwing Punk over and them ending up fighting at Mania which is what it already seems is happening right now.

4) Bryan should definitely win at Mania and whether it's against Orton or Cena (which I hope not but will probably happen anyways) then they should have a new challenger for him and not just go back to Cena fighting for the belt again.

Pretty much there's just way too much Cena in this storyline. Especially since you said that other superstars complained that it's always about Cena and Bryan. If they want to build new stars and a new era then the stars of the previous era need to take a step back.

I HATE, freaking HATE Triple Threat main events. The matches are completely formulaic and never feel unique at all. The only good Triple Threat match at WrestleMania has been erased from history. There's no point in doing more.

I got so pissed when they announced Triple H/Orton/Cena for WrestleMania. Granted, it was better than seeing Cena/Orton again, but they could have done much better. Cena/Batista would have been huge had they done it there.

And the next year, they went ahead with Edge/Big Show/Cena. It was like they weren't even TRYING to make a good card. They should have paid tribute to the amazing Edge/Cena feud 3 years earlier and had them settle it in a LMS match like the one they had on Backlash a month afterwards. But nope, we got a silly Triple Threat.

And don't get me started on Rey/Orton/Angle. Seriously, Triple Threats are lazy ideas that WWE only resorts to when they don't know how to distribute 3 top guys on the card.

That isn't the only problem with your idea though:

1. What a coincidence that the final 4 are the four top earners in WWE right now. There's no better way to shout at the crowd that the whole thing is staged than by putting on exactly what they would assume a staged ending looks like.

2. I have no idea why this is confusing so many people. People are acting like WWE is in a hole with the EC now that there's only 1 title. The title will be defended in the Elimination Chamber. This year was the first time it wasn't like this. It's going back to normal next year.

3. What is the point of having Triple H screw Punk twice?? When Shawn cost Taker the title, it was so Taker could be freed up for a match with him. Does Triple H want a match with Punk?? He could just book it whenever he wants to. If not, does he think this is the best way to avoid it?? This is just silly and doesn't make any sense for the COO to be doing this.

I dont wanna c cena with the strap again any body but him hell bring back goldberg or jerico give them the title only to have bryan beat them in the most epic battles of all time.........
and please o please instead of EC do the 5 man HIC match

orton vs cena vs bryan at rumble in which orton wins while sheamus makes surprise return at rumble and wins rumble to set up fued with ortom for WM30 and cena could have fued with authority esp. tripleh culminating in a match at WM30
