The church (well cathedral, I suppose) I've spent most time in could be fairly accuritely described as big, old, cold (these facts are probably related), filled with people I didn't know and rows upon rows of old wooden pews which aren't especially comfortable. Does that take into account the reasons people go to church, no. Nor does it take into account the positives of churches, such as the feeling of community and everything else that going a good experience. However, it doesn't change my opinion that it's possible to be a christian without attending church.
