Well, first of all, you might actually be able to read my post properly.

Secondly, I respect him because he is a wrestler and you can't deny what he's done in all the promotions he has been in. But I'm not a huge fan of his work at the moment. I think he's been rusty thanks to injuries the past few years but in that RAW Elimination Chamber he was absolutely incredible rolling back the years.

With Rey, if he HAS to put on a good match- he'll put a fantastic one for you. But I think as an older high flyer still using the same offence- he's just became a little less exciting to watch and can't achieve some moves he may have been able to do years ago.

I have mad respect for him though. And I'm 17, so yeah, you should be able to work out that's over 15.

Lastly, how is he a mickey mouse wanna be?.. Really confused by that statement.

We sure do. There's an entire generation of wrestling fans who grew up watching Mysterio in WCW and his eventual journey to the WWE. Mysterio is one of the most talented lucha wrestlers of all time.

Anyone with half a brain should. Mysterio is a long time veteran and has worked hard for his spot, he's been involved in countless classic matches, and he's one of the most popular Mexican wrestlers to ever live. God damn right you should respect him.

Hell yes they do, Mysterio is one of the most over people on the entire roster and is a HUGE contributor to the success of the WWE in Spanish-speaking parts of the world. There's a reason that such a large chunk of the Smackdown audience is Latino.

That's ridiculous. Think about what you just said. Could he do HIS moves without the help of others? Ahh, yeah, that's why they're HIS moves. Mysterio works hard, and though he's declined in recent years in the ring from prolonged knee injuries and age, he certainly isn't carried during his matches.

You're ridculous. So ridculous you could be funny. Mysterio is one of the best workers in the WWE and he can't help it that he is small. Wasn't he pinned recently by Ziggler on Smackdown? And the 619 is not his finisher. You would know that but it's sad to say you don't. Most of the wrestlers couldn't do half their moves without their opponent helping them.

I really had to think about whether or not to dignify this post with an answer. In the end, I'll have to put it this way:

I'm 29 and I like him. He's been in the various major TV wrestling promotions for a very long time and is still going strong. Frankly, how many others can say that? The guy's a legend in his own right and, I think, a shoe-in for an eventual spot in the HOF.

I've also got tons of respect for him, and if you don't, Nascarman, I have a feeling it is because you know nothing about the guy's history...or his present for that matter. If you think Jeff Hardy's a daredevil, you should have seen Rey in some of his earlier stuff with the original ECW.

Yes, I'd shy away from a fight with him, but then I'm not a fighter. You seem to think size is everything, so I therefore would like to invite you to step into a ring with Floyd Maywhether (SP?) and see how long you stay conscious.

The WWE does benefit from having him a whole lot more than...say...Swagger at this time. Rey's still a bigger draw, I would think. And yes, he does matter in that he can still put over storylines far better than most.

Your last question is about the most inane one I've ever read. No, probably many of his moves wouldn't work without the opponent's help...and neither would anybody else's. This is not amateur wrestling, this is professional wrestling. All of it is done with the help and effort of both people. The Undertaker's chokeslam wouldn't work without his opponent jumping in the air at the right time and kicking both legs forward to fall on their backs. Please do not flaunt your ignorance or insult the intelligence of those who actually knows how this stuff works.

And one more thing, the 619 is perhaps one of the most innovative and unique finishers in the WWE today. Rey seems to be the only one on the roster actually capable of it, and it's a crowd-pleaser which is what pro wrestling is about.

I'm 19. I've been watching Mysterio ever since he landed in the WWE. The man is small, yeah so what? Shawn Michaels was considered awfully small when he first landed. Rey is so completely over with the fans, young and old. He's a damn good wrestler. While his aerial tactics have declined, just like someone said due to knee injuries and old age, he's still a entertaining guy to watch. His feud with Jericho was amazing. Neither carried each other in their matches, they had good chemistry, and it was damn good wrestling. The 619 is so one-of-a-kind and cool, it brings the crowd on their feet everytime the opponent drapes himself across the ropes. You're an idiot, stop posting.

I'm 21 and I like Mysterio, respect him, think the WWE does need him, and whatever else you asked I am going to answer with yes. Do you even know what you are talking about here? To come in here and say that you don't respect, quite possibly, the greatest lucha libre of all time is a shit statement in itself. Rey constantly gives quality matches and is constantly fun to watch. He is one of the best workers in the WWE and is doing a solid job with Ziggler. Does any one over 15 like this guy? Uhm, yes. I am 15 and I love Rey Mysterio. He's my 3rd favorite WWE Superstar, and I find him to be very unique in the ring. His style is like no other.
Does any one respect him? I sure as hell do respect him. For a profession that is dominated by bigger, more muscular guys, Rey Mysterio at 5'6", 175 lbs. goes out to the ring and holds his own. Sure it's scripted, but who cares?
Would any one shy away from a fight with him? This is a rather stupid question, but I will answer it by saying that for a small guy, Rey can pack a punch and is very quick, due to his size. Quickness can be a weakness for many people.
Does WWE need him? He's one of the most popular WWE superstars of all-time. He can sell merchandise and WWE can always depend on him... why wouldn't WWE want him?
Does he even matter? Of course he matters... HE'S THE FUCKIN INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION!!
If his opponts didn't help him coud he do his moves? I believe it takes more than one person to have a match. Correct me if I'm wrong but most moves cannot be performed unless you have someone to perform it on.

I don't understand why people love to badmouth Rey Mysterio so much. He is so much more talented than a lot of the WWE roster. He's loyal to the company. He can always be counted on. He's just what WWE wants in their workers.
