Rey Mysterio Injured/Taking Time Off?

i was at tonights Raw and during the Title match, Rey took a hard bump and start holding his knee, now at first i thought it was selling, but during the comercial break...he was talking to the ref and he got on his ear piece and it seemed the match outcome got changed. Could be why Alberto Del Rio was out the ring more than half the match getting counted out. I was thinking they have mysterio win due to all of the promos during the night. He never loses in San Diego he always gets a DQ win or wins during the dark match. The advertised dark match was suppose to be Mysterio and Cena vs Alberto Del Rio and Miz but i know the whole subject to change thing. After Cena goes to tended to him he goes to the ref and askes if he is okay and the ref shook his head, thats when Alberto del rio comes out and starts the post show stuff. The last 5 events i have been to, rey always talks to the fans via the mic but this time was carried out by the ref and production guy. Doesn't sound good for Rey Rey

Hes been injured for a while now. If WWE was thinking about putting the strap on him then this was a blessing in disguise for them. They should've learned by now not to put the strap on someone whos injury prone. As sad as it is, it might be time for Rey to retire, or take up a spot where he doesnt have to take such grueling bumps. I was really questioning why tonight's main event looked so rough when one of the guys in there clearly has a nagging injury. I thought The Miz attack was to write him off TV but it seems likey they were just going on a trial and error basis to see how long Rey could hang in there. If he couldnt make it the next week they could blame the previous week's attack. As to Rey, all my well wishes are with him. Sucks that someone so talented gets injured so easy.

Wait REY MYSTERIO IS INJURED?

Rey has been injured since..... well I can't recall a time when Rey wasn't working through some type of an injured at some point in the past 5 years. Rey doesn't have to many years left in him, seriously he's been on his way out for a while, and I'm surprised he can still go like he does. WM28 may be his final encounter.

I may not always enjoy Rey, but I respect Rey. He has had some great matches with some of the best in the WWE over the past few years. Punk, Miz, Cena, Rhodes... You can't knock him for what he's done for the business.

As much as it hurts to say this but with his kids getting older and after 22 yrs in the business and if the injury is legit, mysterio's career might be winding down.

With everything his body has gone through there's no way he can go on much longer.

Why make this raw so special for him if he was just going to lose and get beat up???

Rey has been injured for about two weeks now. They were expected to take an MRI, but they never really said how bad it was.

Since he was able to wrestle, I guess they didn't find too much damage, but it looks like they are going to give him some time to rest.

I wouldn't be shocked if he had to get more surgery on his knee.

There wasn't a doubt in my mind that Rey was going to lose. If anything, ADR beating Rey while he was down helped him garner some heat from the fans, even though it seemed to be cheap heat.

He barely got a reaction when he came out the first time.

Yea rey had knee troubles since his i quit match with chavo G. and has had a nice number of surgeries he just keeps going people can dislike him but dont see how you cant respect him i think he should wrap up his carrer at the end of the year or at the mexico tour he paid his dues and been rewarded i see rey retire in a year or 2 ( i hope he dont hogan his body and can barely walk) and join the HOF with eddie.Ima miss rey and the 619 but dont want to see rey in pain

If rey retires I would understand hes been fighting injury's for some time know and I would rather see him retire rather than get injured again. Rey was/ still is entertaining to watch but his moves set him up for the high injurys. I never liked rey as a wrestler but if he retires I wont be happy that hes gone.

Sucks for Rey. His better days are far, far behind him. Mistico being brought in was simply to take Rey's place, correct? Well...I guess Hunico and Epico will have to do that since the real Sin Cara is not coming back.

Why hype up the Raw and make it special to him? Well that's how you get people to watch. Why did they hype up Lawler in Memphis as the hottest shit going only for Harley Race to beat him? It sells tickets.

Mysterio is tremendous at selling an injury. He probably was in pain, but he also sells his ass off. Word is that he's been injured for a while. With knees like his, he's probably perpetually injured in all honesty.

My guess is, because he's a pro, he won't get surgery and just rehab until the Mexico City Raw on October 15, which gives him about 2 months, then get some revenge. If he does get a surgery, it probably won't be anything too major. Given that he's been in the ring quite a bit the past few weeks, I'm guessing whatever injury he has is minor. A torn ACL, MCL, miniscus, or anything like that is disabling and no matter how much heart you have, your body structurally couldn't do what he does.

If Rey Mysterio's Knee injury is realy that bad its likely that Rey will have to hang up the boots,Rey has been a great superstar in the WWE and has gave us loads of exciting moments & matches & fueds,His probly the best High Flyer in this generation to ever be in the WWE,and will certainly be missed if he does have to retire.

His carear has been great and is no doubt a future Hall Of Famer,Some ppl might not like Rey Mysterio.But you have to respect Óscar Gutiérrez.
