Report: Kevin Steen to be signed by WWE

Half a Steen's move set is pretty much gone in WWE, he'll also have to clean up his promo's a bit to make them fit WWE's PG rating, & he'll be away from his family more now than he's ever been in his career. I could see all that leading to some frustration for Steen, if he's able to deal with all that he should go great in WWE... assuming they don't drop the ball with him like they did with Colt Cabana... & Chris Hero... & the Wolves. I do wonder what name he'll give him, hopefully he doesn't let them give him something too fucking stupid, I also wonder what finisher he'll be using in WWE as well.

I'll start by saying that I never watched a promotion outside of WCW, WWF, and TNA here and there. That being said, I don't know how Daniel Bryan made it to the main event. I'm not saying I don't love the guy to death. The opposite, him and The Shield are lining up to be my personal GOATs, but based on my understanding of how things generally work in the WWE with certain kinds of talent, I don't understand how he got there. It just seemed like a fluke from beginning to end. It seems like the fans have been all over Daniel Bryan, which is something the WWE still seems caught off guard by.

Which brings me to Kevin Steen. Based on Daniel Bryan's history, I don't know where it's going to go. There's a good chance he'll be right up there with Kofi, being a lifetime midcarder, making more money there than he ever did being a top guy in ROH, or he might be up there with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Basically what I'm saying is, this past year really shook up everything I thought I knew about professional wrestling, to the point where I don't think my predictions are holding too much water anymore.

Willie Mack is a solid performer, especially considering his size. He's definitely agile, similar to Steen in some ways.

Good signing. More excited for Willie Mack though, the dude has a fantastic drop kick. If WWE allow him to do some if his ariel movies then the dude will be awesome.

Had to get in the little shot, didn't you?

Yes, although, I do believe it. Most TNA talents would forgo their pay for longer than TNA already hold it from them to get the size of a pop Kevin Steen routinely gets. The two biggest pops at War of the Worlds were Jushin Liger, one of the biggest legends in the history of wrestling who just about everyone loves, and Kevin Steen. That speaks volumes.

I actually kind of find it weird that WWE are signing Mack when the rumor was Super Dragon stopped using him in PWG because Mack wasn't training and Dragon thought he looked like shit. He did bring him back recently I guess.

Yeah I thought Mack was not a 'WWE bodyshape' but his style and charisma come through. They'll get him to work on fitness and conditioning a lot and if it doesn't take hold then he's made some money just for training and probably gets an extra few dollars per indy appearance afterward. Personally I find it a bit weird that solid 'round' guys are looked down upon, they often have good believability (Samoa Joe, Hashimoto, Dusty).
