Report: HHH Possibly NOT Competing at Mania?

WTH is up with this logic of one superstar not needing to face another one so the match shouldnt happen? DB has a better chance of stealing the show and proving to Vince and HHH that he can be a top guy by facing HHH than to have a, most likely lackluster, triple threat match for the title. Db didnt need to face Wyatt either but that didnt stop them from tearing the house down at RR.

Look at HBK...did he need to wrestle Angle? did he need to wrestle Y2J? did he need to wrestle Taker twice?

DB IMO is better off facing HHH...if he is in a triple threat and wins than all this will be is a one off title win to please the fans and he will lose it in two months. But if he pushes HHH to the limit at Mania and gives him a classic than maybe HHH will be willing to give DB a true title run.

Considering neither me or you knows neither Triple H or Vince McMahon's emotions, I think it's much more logical to give the most white hot star in the industry since Austin/Rock a title win to close the most important Wrestlemania in recent memory, than to put him in a pointless match with HHH to earn "respect" in some corny movie-esque fashion straight out of a Smackdown vs. Raw videogame storyline lol.

Not to mention that the crowd will shit on the title match if Bryan is not in it, and a "We Want Divas" chant during the main event of (again, the most important in recent memory) Wrestlemania is not a good look. Especially with the extra eyes due to the network launch.

As far as mentioning Shawn Michaels, I really hope you don't think that Shawn (being a legend/past his prime) in those secondary main events is the same as Daniel Bryan (being the hottest guy in the WWE since the Attitude Era) being put in a pointless main event in favor of Batista and Orton (which would get booed out of the building).

So if you were Bryan you would rather win the title at Mania and lose it in two months which is what will definitely happen. How is facing HHH pointless? HHH is DB's nemesis, hes the guy that has belittled him and held him back for 5 months. The point is to put an end to their feud. As far as him proving his worth to HHH being "corny"....I ask you this, how the hell do you think Batista and Orton have become so big in HHH's mind. Thats the reason why this main event is being discussed in the first place. Both guys have proved to HHH that they are worthy of carrying that title by being in feuds with him and being in Evolution with him. It would be much better for DB to become a "HHH Guy" than for HHH to feel that the fans forced the wwe to just give him a quick title run. DB having a classic match with HHH at WM would do MUCH more for his career than to give him the wwe title just to please fans and have Batista take it from him one or two months later.

Shawn Michaels past his prime??? lol HBK at 50 will still be better than DB will ever be

Personal views on Triple H aside yes he should and yes he will. The roster isn't that stacked that they can leave him off and there's no way he doesn't wrestle on one of the most historic WWE events of all time.

I also don't get the idea that it's too late to set him up with a feud other than Bryan, Punk or Orton. If you look at this last week and his little exchange with Batista they could do something there. There's nearly 2 months to Mania, Cena could suddenly change direction and end up facing Triple H, and yes I like the Roman Reigns idea, if Bray gets the Cena match I don't see why Reigns would fail by getting the Triple H match, he's easily as ready as Bray as far as ring time goes.

What I definitely don't see is a match with a guy like Ziggler, Big E or Cesaro, as much as I imagine Triple H likes the style of the latter.

Um.

I think Batista vs. Orton is the main event because prior to the Royal Rumble, Vince McMahon believed that Batista vs. Randy Orton was the match that would achieve the most buyrates, event interest and WWE Network subscriptions. But maybe I'm wrong and Batista and Randy Orton are main eventing because of a professional wrestling storyline from ten years ago?

:disappointed:.

As far as Daniel Bryan winning the title and losing it two months later?

Well Daniel Bryan could win the title and then the whole roster comes out to jump him and the show ends with Betty White coming out booty butt naked to take a hot shit on his chest lol. I can't predict the fucking future and neither can you lol.

Whether he has a 10 year reign or Vince McMahon comes out the next night on Raw and strips him of the title and declares El fucking Torito the new World Champion, it doesn't matter. The goal would still be achieved of closing Wrestlemania with the image of 80,000 people chanting 'Yes' blowing the roof off, which is a way better image than "We Want Divas" chants during the main event of the most important show of the year or even worse, half empty stands/people walking out during the main event due to them not giving a fuck about the outcome.

As far as Shawn Michaels being better at fake fighting in predetermined, scripted bouts at age 50 than Daniel Bryan?

I mean, I guess, lol. I don't give a fuck bro I have no personal bias towards Daniel Bryan or Shawn Michaels lol. I thought we were discussing why it would be silly for the most over man in pro wrestling in nearly two decades to face HHH rather than win the World Title at Wrestlemania. I have no desire to convince you to not have a strong affinity for Shawn Michaels.

are you even a wrestling fan?

Its pretty well known that HHH is good friends with Batista and Orton. It wasnt just a storyline, HHH picked those guys because he believed they had something special and both went on to be multi time world champions, top guys, and have pretty good careers.

As far as predicting the future goes...wrestling has been predictable for years. I predicted the outcome of every match at RR and the ending to Summerslam and pretty much every match on raw and smackdown last year. This doesnt make me a psychic, I just understand wrestling and I see that one way or another Batista is getting a title reign leading to a match at Summerslam. Mania is in April, in two months it will be June, and by June or July DB will obviously be out of the title.

The goal of ending WM with 80,000 people chanting Yes??? What goal? you completely made that up. If that was the wwe's goal than how come DB isnt champ? How come he didn't win the Royal Rumble? Are you implying that the WWE has a goal that they are purposely trying to avoid achieving? and Half empty seats? You really think that 40,000 people (half) are going to walk out during the main event of Mania? So the parents of children are going to tell there kids we have to leave because Db isnt in this match. How dumb do you think wwe fans are? Why the hell would I pay for WM tickets, attend the event already knowing all the matches on the card, pay $40 for parking, and walk out on an event that some hardcore wrestling fans never get to experience?

BTW im a DB fan, and previously I stated that if HHH vs DB is off than I would like to see HHH face someone like Ziggler. Im also not sure when I showed a strong affinity for Shawn Michaels, i simply stated that he will always be better than DB. I compared two people that do the same job which is pretty much what everyone does with all athletes.

HHH could have a great match of importance if he wrestled and CLEANLY pit over Dabiel Bryan or a Roman REIGNS or a returning CM Punk. HHH going over main event full time talent makes zero sense, unless it leads to the face getting his heat back and beating him in the end. HHH off the card.....Id rather he be there but used to get somebody over big,

If you look at the roster for the event it is safe to say that there are enough solid workers, part time talent, and names that a HHH match doesn't push the needle of network or PPV buys.

That's the type of thing that can be seen as a positive or a negative. The negative is: What, no Triple H? What a rip-off! Bummer, man!

The positive is that if the company feels it has enough star power to do the big PPV without Trips, that can only be a good thing. As much as I enjoy seeing him, and as much as I've regretted his retiring when he can obviously still go in the ring, I've always sensed that WWE saw it as a negative that they needed to trot him out there since it could be seen as an indication that the company needed his name in a major match to help sell the PPV.... that the other guys on the roster weren't enough to fill the bill.

Conversely, in this day when part-timers from days past are used to generate PPV buys, it's a great luxury to have someone in the front office who can step in whenever necessary. Saves a lot of hassle bringing someone in.

On the lighter side, the possibility that Stephanie's husband will be needed to get in the ring with his shirt off probably forces Trips to keep his weight down and his musculature up, giving her a more attractive mate to show off at stockholder's meetings......and for her greater enjoyment receiving Pedigrees in the bedroom.

This is an outrageously ridiculous idea. No Rock, no return from Austin, no Punk, Hogan can't pass a physical, no Sting, no HBK vs DB, AND no HHH??!!! I probably wouldn't even watch. They have Batista in a crummy match with Orton so far, so as far as I'm concerned there's no Batista either. They better phucking have Hunter wrestle...it's Mania 30 for gods sakes!

I watch the rest of the talent wrestle all year and I'm not all that impressed. This card needs HHH bottom line. He and DB should close the night, and if not I'll take him against Reigns. They kept their options open with the Shield triple threat and Reigns vs HHH by having Roman tease at both in those 2 promos (Smackdown getting in HHH's face and Raw knocking Ambrose and his title defenses).

It would be a travesty not having him especially when you consider he's only getting older and this could be his last Mania ever (given the milestone and need to take over as the new Vince) not to mention my aforementioned point about the loss of all the other big names.

No HHH at Mania 30 = HUGE mistake.

- As far as Evolution goes, those guys were pushed because they had a look and WWE desperately needed stars after Austin, Brock, The Rock and a lot of the WCW talent had left in a short timespan. It's the reason why Triple H was so prominently featured on the show in the first place.

And as for them being cherry picked proteges that HHH saw a glow in . . .

Mark Jindrak was in Batista's spot until he turned up with Orton too much lol.

Batista got picked as a replacement because he had a look.

- As far as your part time job as a professional wrestling psychic . . . I mean good for you I guess? I'd find a way to make money off of that. That actually might be a whole new hustle right there. Betting on fixed fighting.

Anyone with knowledge of how pro wrestling works can predict what will happen next. It's been a long time since pro wrestling HASN'T been predictable. I'm not trying to debate that. I was obviously half joking when I said the bit about Betty White coming out to take a shit on Daniel Bryan's chest.

There is nothing that we know that vehemently supports or denies the idea that Daniel Bryan will have some short two month transitional reign. It could happen, it could not happen. Who knows? Hell, April to July is a hell of a reign. I honestly find Daniel Bryan not that interesting on the mic, so a Daniel Bryan reign would be relying solely on the genius WWE Creative Team's writing ability that brought us classic segments like the Santino Marella/Emma vs. Fandango/White Bitch dance off and Billy Gunn vs. Betty White's doo doo juice.

No matter how much you think you know pro wrestling trends, so many variables can happen. Injuries, backstage heat, someone says something wrong in an interview and gets dropped from a push, or plans could just straight up change.

But it's funny to see you say "Daniel Bryan doesn't want a win for the World Title in the main event of the biggest supercard in professional wrestling"

What else does Daniel Bryan want? What does he not want? What else do you know you mind reading psychic? What do the inside of Brie Bella's guts feel like?

- As far as me pulling the notion that WWE wants a huge Yes chant at Wrestlemania 30 out of the crease in my ballsack:

https://www.google.com/search?q=yes+chant+wrestlemania+30

Pick your favorite unreliable (but not really because that is your only insight into backstage WWE) pro wrestling dirt sheet.

- As far as people not walking out on Wrestlemania . . . well . . . I guess in between reading Daniel Bryan's mind and flawlessly predicting the outcomes of pro wrestling angles, you don't have much time to watch other sports like the NBA, NFL, MLB, etc.

If it's a blowout game where the winner is obvious and people don't give a fuck, they say fuck it and go and get a head start on leaving. If your guy isn't going to win, what's the point of staying? It has happened for the NBA Finals, I'm sure it happened two weeks ago at the Superbowl (both of which are much more prestigious, "once in a lifetime" events and in general harder to get tickets for). It has happened at sporting events that I've attended personally.

Now you are kind of right in that a crowd full of kids isn't going to want to leave and the parents DEFINITELY aren't going to want to leave. Too bad you are highly OVER estimating the amount of kids that will be at a Wrestlemania on a school night. Not only is it a school night, but you have to factor that in a shaky economic situation, it's a lot easier for a parent to spend 40 bucks (or 9.99/month this year I guess) on Wrestlemania than to buy 3 nights at a hotel, food accommodations for a weekend, tickets for a family, and gas to get to New Orleans and back for what is essentially a live action cartoon.

Now don't get me wrong, there will definitely be a lot of kids at Wrestlemania, probably over half of those attending will be full families. But there will be enough adults (without kids) as to where it would be noticeable if they start shitting on the Batista/Orton match in any way. Families and kids aren't the ones who were chanting "We Want Divas" during the Cena/Orton match at the Royal Rumble. Families and kids aren't the ones chanting Goldberg during Ryback matches. Families and kids aren't the ones chanting for CM Punk during random midcard matches. The ratio between families/kids to young adults/adults is a lot smaller than the bright Cena shirts and laxative skits and dance offs would have you believe. Just because the WWE survives off of children through TV rights, apparel and action figures does not mean every family who has a WWE fan for a child is dropping hundreds of dollars on tickets to events.

- Nobody gives a fuck if Orton is the champion. Nobody gives a fuck if Batista is the champion. Two outcomes can only come from that main event, and both are the worst possible for the WWE:

1. People start chanting about divas and how boring the match is, which will just straight up look bad. Not to mention, Orton and Batista have both been seen visibly annoyed over these past few weeks with the Daniel Bryan chants, so you'd have a heel vs. heel match once they started reacting, which would alienate the kids in the audience who might ACTUALLY be rooting for Batista.

or

2. People walk out, not giving a fuck about the outcome of the match.

Number 2 would actually be better for the WWE, because they could just make the audible to call Vince Russo for some of his TNA camera trickery tips to avoid an empty crowd. Shaky camera galore bruh bruh.

I dont know what to say after reading that so I will quote one of my favorite Adam Sandler movies to let you know how I feel about your post

"what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!"

Why isnt Brock Lesnar the Wwe World Heavy Champion ? He has Paul Heyman as his mic...He can dominate the whole roster with awesome moves...I get he isn't 24/7...but either was the Rock....Lesnar v Bryant v Batista ( only because Bastista won the RR and is costing millions) at mania....Brock losing to Taker at Mania isn't believable anymore...Have Cena lose to Taker..ppl wont give a shit..Or have Lesnar beat Taker and have an unstoppable force in the WWE again.

HHH would be crazy not to have a match at Wrestlemania there is time to make a proper match and build with a superstar that can get the right kind of exposure in a match with him

HHH should be looking to build super stars not looking at his spot on the wrestlemania card anyways. In his own words he needs to do whats best for business. A fued with Daniel Bryan will tell a good story but Daniel Bryan should be in the main event. There are a number of good superstars and even on CM Punk who walked out because he doesnt want to fued with HHH I cant blame him but they could make the match special and there is still time to do it

While I normally would have been all for HHH keeping himself out of WM this year, the complete fuckery that has gone on recently kind of demands his appearance in the ring; maybe not in an official match, but someone needs to floor the guy at WM. This whole authority story has gone on too long without any of the faces getting their two shots in. Hell, Austin was stunning McMahon at least twice a month, I'm sure. In the last 7 months of this convoluted clusterfuck, HHH has been hit twice: once by Daniel Bryan right before HBK proceeded to kick his face in for it and cost him the title, and a knock out by Big Show, who proceeded to get shitted on by the crowd and the Authority for a letdown of a SSeries main event. As I said, normally I would be fine if this blew over and HHH just sat it out, but:

-Punk just left out of nowhere, and that means you just lost a top star slot for Mania
-Fans are holding up WWE for Bryan to get in the WM title scene. With that addition, another potential match slot has been lost
-Speaking of the fans, they clearly don't give a shit about Batista's return, so his star power is pretty much nonexistent at this point.
-The Rock, a.k.a. the dude who sold your last 3 Wrestlemania events, has movie work to do, and considering this is the first show coming off his help with the past 3 shows, there's a lot of withdrawal symptoms to get over.
-With the loss of Rock/Punk, the trapped booking of Batista winning the Rumble and a lot of full timers having their card placements set in stone (Cena, Wyatt's, Shield), there are little stars left to from the main event to fill out the card in a meaningful capacity. While there would normally be a reserve of upper midcarders and main event flirts to call on, WWE has stupidly within the last 3 years alone nerfed the hell out of Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, R Truth, The Miz, Ryback, Mark Henry, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, Brodus Clay and a host of others I'm sure I might be missing. HHH's interjection would be greatly appreciated here for once.

There is absolutely no way Triple H will go without a match at the biggest Wrestlemania ever. This is wrestlemania 30, and this is supposed to "showcase the immortals." From a kayfabe standpoint, we all want to see HHH lose a match to somebody and get his head beat in at some point. But from a legit side, I don't see hhh's ego allowing him to miss out on this.
