There were rumors going around about The Undertaker's health on social media yesterday after some chatter from Bill DeMott and Taker's wife Michelle McCool. McCool posted a comment about how Taker is the toughest man she knows.

DeMott later tweeted McCool that he and his wife were praying for her, and hoped everything was working out. A fan asked DeMott what was wrong with McCool and he replied, "Michelle is fine, just wanted her to know we are thinking of her."

I was concerned about his health the night that he chokeslammed Lesnar through the table on RAW. He looked too skinny and looked like he aged 5 years in one year. And the match at WM was brutal, he was weak, couldn't hold Lesnar up high enough to do a Last Ride, it was a mess. I think he really should retire.

I hope all is well with the Deadman. Being a HUGE Taker fan, I hope that he never wrestles another match. He did not look that good for WM XXX and it definitely looked that time and injurues finally caught up to him. If he is healthly enough, he could show up from time to time to chokeslam or tombstone someone, but that should be it.

He has NOTHING left to prove, he has done it all, and doesn't owe anyone anything. He needs to call it quits, go into the hall of fame as one of the greatest ever, and focus on his health and family.

I am a BIG Undertaker fan, but I hope to god he never wrestles again...now that the Streak is over, there is no reason for him to ever return for one more match...let him retire in peace and be with his family...he has NOTHING left to prove, and is definitely a first ballot Hall of Famer...#ThankYouTaker

I sorta feel like, especially over the past 3-4 years that there is always concern over his health after his WrestleMania match, so I'm not too sure if we should read into this that much.

However, I saw the video the day after WrestleMania of him leaving his hotel... something definitely wasn't right. He obviously had the concussion, I just hope the symptoms and his condition aren't worsening.

Lol, okay, Taker should get in the HOF but let's remember this is a pretend HOF with a ton of holes in it from the start. "He is a first ballot Hall of Famer," there are no ballots man. The only person who lets people in is Vince and that is it. That explains why greats such as Savage, the Steiners, Goldberg, Luger and others that made a significant impact for the competition don't even get a sniff. The WWE HOF is a joke, it is Vince's buddies club.

I respect your opinion but I don't know how you can say that. Bret Hart, Warrior and Bruno Sammartino were not exactly Vince's buddies and they went in to the HOF. A lot of who you mention should be in the HOF. But Randy Savage's family seems to have been offered the chance but the "genius" Randy's brother, wants to be inducted at the same time and he certainly is not HOF material in any way. How do you know that the rest haven't been asked and turned the chance down? And you can't induct every wrestler every year - it has to be staggered or they will run out of people to "put in" the HOF.

As for the Undertaker - I want to see him have 2 more matches at WM. Next year he should seek and obtain revenge of Brock Lesnar- clean! Then the next night - Cena should come out and say he wants the Undertakers career on the line at WM 32!

Age and past injuries aside, a severe concussion is a severe concussion. It will take sometime to clear up.. I hope that was his last match for his sake.

Undertaker shouldn't get his revenge on Lesnar.

That would be the stupidest thing WWE could ever do.

I'm sure Bill Demott thinks of Michelle McCool a lot, he is a no-good pig.

Since the rumors of Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker started I was really worried about it. I thought for sure Brock would kill the old man. At the same time Undertaker has himself to blame, when you can barely wrestle one match a year he should have known to hang it up. I keep both Taker and McCool in my prayers.

I personally think if undertaker already played his last match, he would have made some kind of official statement by now. Right now I am 90 per cent sure(depending on his physical condition) that he would be in a match at WM 31 which could be possibly his last match as well. Now if I have to choose his last opponent then the only opponent comes to my mind is lesnar/heyman since his on going rivalry with paul heyman is still hot and I do believe if that match happens then his career would be on line along with the wwe title also the match will main event next WM.

So you hate the Undertaker?

The man is done. He's done enough. He's 48 years old. His body can't handle wrestling at a high level anymore. He's given more than enough to his fans and to the business already. AND he just suffered a major concussion that could affect his health for the remainder of his life.

But you still want him to trot out again next year to get his win back? Then go another year and do the IWC "dream match" against Cena?

If he did that... what type of shape do you think he'd be in after that?

Personally I think he got out one year too late. He looked the weakest I've ever seen him in the buildup to WM this year and considering how well he's done avoiding injury in the past, you've gotta figure the fact that he wasn't as physically ready as he used to be might have played a role in him getting hurt in the end.

If he ever has another match again, I hope it's just short nostalgia matches like you see the other old guys do. Preferably not even that.

He's earned the right to sit back, rest, and enjoy life.

I'm kind of tired of The Undertaker. There is literally NOTHING left for him to do now. He's the man and everything, but there is a reason the Streak ended. The man is older, financially secure, happy at home and it is time to stop. He clearly knows it, or Lesnar never would have beat him. It is the right time to call it a career. We just need to let go.

I'm inclined to think that he will, based on Heyman burying him mercilessly on the past two Raws. It's a strange way to handle retirement, if it is a retirement.

Anyone who thinks Undertaker should be wrestling at Wrestlemania 32 is CRAZY. Do you guys have any clue how old he is? And the toll wrestling has took on his body? You know there is a reason why there are NFL players who retire by 30 years old, or retire by 38 years old, or maybe why NBA players retire by 40, and you think Undertaker should be wrestling at 51 years old? Wrestling takes more of a toll then the other sports do per the entire body. Your just crazy. By that age Undertaker is at of heart attack in the ring, or a risk for a major injury, like he may of got at WM30 against Brock.

I read about this earlier this morning. Like a lot of people, I've been concerned about Taker's health for quite a while. WrestleMania XXX is the worst he's looked, at least in my eyes; as I've said in other posts, WrestleMania XXX was the first time he really seemed like an "old man" to me.

If all the various reports I've read over the years are true, Taker has had a plethora of mobility issues concerning his shoulders, knees and hips. I've read that he's had multiple surgeries on his knees and hips and he underwent a shoulder surgery, not long after his last WM match with Triple H, that he'd been putting off for a long time. By the time he had the operation, the damage that'd been done was so extensive that the procedure really wasn't able to help. As a result, again according to the report I read, he probably would never regain full strength in that shoulder. I just can't remember if it was his left or right. Back in the early 2000s, I remember reading that Taker had suffered pretty badly torn groin muscles and had torn an abdominal muscle around the same time period. One reason why that stuck with me is that imagining a torn groin muscle just always gave me the creeps. Taker's getting older and the long term effects of the wear & tear of the business may simply be rearing its ugly head all the more.

Given that the streak is over, I'd say Taker's worked his last match. He's managed to pull it together the past several years to have some all time classic matches, though the physical price has been pretty high for him personally. If he's at a point in which he can't deliver matches at the level we've come to expect or, more importantly, the level that he himself expects, then he's done.

This is the same thing I say to people wanting "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to come back for "one more match".

Some of these guys keep coming back because we keep wanting them back.

I tip that even if Taker retires and takes a few years off, that Vince will try to wheel him out for "one more match" at a future Wrestlemania. Count on it!

'Taker's hard as nails. He's holding out for the match against Sting at WM31, and will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in his home town the following year, making his final public appearance at WM32.

We follow a unique 'sport' in the sense that as an NFL fan once a player retires you don't get to see them come back for one more set of downs or one more game. You don't get to see your favorite MLB player come back for one more at bat, or to pitch to one more batter. You don't see your favorite NHL player come back for one more shoot out. Boxing would be a good comparison to wrestling in terms of guys coming back one more time too many times or continuing on for too long.

I get it, in some cases its because they need the money and when that occurs its a shame. But as previous posters have stated in some cases its also because we continually want them back. Its human nature to hold onto youth, When our favorites get old and retire it makes us feel old. So we keep wanting them back.

Nothing would make me happier as a wrestling fan and a typical human being than if The Undertaker could come back and wrestle several more Mania's. That would be awesome. But he can't. The man is pushing 50. He might be 50 by next years Mania. I wish the streak didnt end, I wish he would have retired with it. But honestly I agree with those who have said we should not want him to come back.

The man has given us (as fans) everything for over 20 years now. He deserves to go into the HOF, get his speech and enjoy his life with his family and how he sees fit. I hope he comes back and makes non wrestling appearances. But I hope he doesn't put his health in anymore danger for us, he's done enough for us. Its time we do something for him and let him enjoy his non wrestling retirement without the pressure of anymore matches.

There is being tough and then there is being stupid - as a former teacher you would hope McCool would know the difference. The fact is Taker's body just can't take the punishment anymore and it has nothing to do with being tough. Edge could have kept wrestling to prove how tough he was but none of that macho bs means anything when you are paralyzed and can't move. If it is taking Taker close to a year to fully recover from these matches, and from the sounds if it he isn't fully recovering, then he needs to retire as your health is more important.

Undertaker is damn there 50 years old. While sometimes we think he cant get hurt or injured,he is only human after all. Warriors untimely passing,is showing us that in a lot of people. Taker has given us so so many memories,21-0 WM match streak, but this past WM showed me,he is getting up there in age...

Its like it happened overnight, and that is usually the case.. He clearly has mobility issues,he barely could lift Brock for his last ride, didnt even get full execution in it. The man has indeed done enough, given the streak was broken that was the only thing keeping him around.. Best WM match after WM match,24-29 IMO thats five in a row.. No other superstar in history can claim they put on five consecutive best WM matches in a row, never mind 21-0 to start out.. Thats incredible.

I dont think Undertaker will be like Rey Mysterio and just hang around.. When taker himself decides hes done he will be done.. He respects the business to much,to take up a spot on the roster. Yes,there should be concern over his health.. His body is clearly broken, and he has done enough for the business.

I thought the same thing, and to me it was most noticeable when he showed up on Main Event to do that segment with Paul Heyman. I honestly wasn't even sure it was Undertaker at first, he looked so different. And not good different, or just different different. It was a bad different. It made me wish he hadn't come back.

To me, this poll is a no brainer. I don't think there's any chance in hell he wrestles again. Any talk of him wrestling again at next year's WrestleMania, let alone two more matches, is just a fantasy to me. I think it's safe to say he would've retired at least four years ago if not for the streak, and I doubt he would decide to end the streak until he was done. To end the streak shows that he's clearly an old school guy, the phrase "go out on your back" has been used to describe it, and those kind of people usually don't care about winning their last match...and, obviously, if Undertaker wanted Lesnar to end the streak, it would stand to reason that he's fine with him ending his career as well. And I certainly wouldn't expect Undertaker to officially announce his retirement on Raw or anything like that...it'd be difficult to do that without breaking character, and he is the one guy that never breaks character on WWE television. I mean, he wouldn't honor Flair until Raw went off the air, and even that was still somewhat in character. I just can't see him retiring in character, and I can't see him breaking character to retire. I'm not even sure he'll go into the HOF for that reason, though I tend to think he will. But that's definitely the only time I expect to ever see him again.

One more match. Casket Match against Kane. Where Kane buries the Deadman. He can Rest in Peace. It would be a unique send and ending chapter to a character like that.

I never imagined that a lot of 'Taker fans would have such high concern for Undertaker's health. I understand that years in the wrestling ring is a grind to the body and injuries would catch up to you, but 'Taker, to me, was always a guy that took pride in staying in shape and being able to keep up with anyone.

But with him pushing to 50 years old and with the extensive hiatuses he takes, his body starts to break down and his athletic ability starts to go away. And when he comes back, you're able to tell that he's really let himself go and he doesn't have "it" anymore. Pretty sad to see my favorite legend deteriorate like this, but he should retire. It's time.
