Rep itself isn't meaningless...rep points are.

The reputation system is good for posters to get feedback on their posts, whether other posters like their posts or not...the points system is where everything gets screwed up. If I had the power, I'd try to figure out a way to keep all rep points static, while still allowing reps.

My green bars are low, but my rep power is higher than some I have seen with alot of green bars.

It is also reliant on how long you have been here as well, you have been here a while so your power is bigger.

It's going to take for-fucking ever to get rep now. People's rep power isn't going to go up more than once or twice a month, max, thus new posters will be stuck with 25 a pop. I like it.
