The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is an American television sitcom that originally aired on NBC from September 10, 1990 to May 20, 1996. The show stars Will Smith as a fictionalized version of himself, a street-smart teenager from West Philadelphia who is sent to move in with his aunt and uncle in wealthy Bel Air in their mansion, where his lifestyle often clashes with that of his relatives. 148 episodes were produced over six seasons. So have u seen this show?R u a fan of it?What u think of the show?

I thought it was great. One of the few shows from the early nineties that I still watch whenever I come across it. While watching Full House and Saved by the Bell now they just seem downright cheesy. Fresh Prince on the other hand has held up quite well. One thing that annoys me about the show is the frequency in which Will overacts in his scenes. I suppose maybe that's his appeal for some people but not me. I rather enjoyed Carlton more and the one area in which he overacted (dancing) was great. He was just a character who didn't get "it". Uncle Phil was great and who could forget Jeffrey.

The one episode I really liked was the one where Will's Dad came back and then left without him in the end. I know a lot of people say that episode is overrated but I enjoyed it and it struck home with me because my Dad didn't want anything to do with me except short summer/winter visits and I was about the same age as Will's character was in that episode when I finally realized it.

Yeah I love this show, one of my top 5 fav shows of all time. No matter how many times I watch it, I never get tired of it. This struck me in many ways. Not only did it tickle my funny bone and make me laugh out loud but it also made me cry whenever I saw Will cry, one example being the episode the poster above me mentioned. It's this show which is why Will Smith is one of my favourite actors.

Fresh Prince was a great show. I recall watching it when I was little and it has first come out. I mainly watched it because of Will Smith's character on the show, who ironically was also named Will Smith. That is still my favorite character of his to this day. Smith was cool and hilarious on this show. Then when I got older and found reruns of it while channel surfing I began watching it again now that I was old enough to understand all of the jokes. It was even more enjoyable at that point, as there are some jokes in it that kids are not always going to understand. Jazz getting thrown out of the house and all of the Uncle Phil jokes never get old.

While I am not a fanatic of the show, I love it every time I see it. The whole cast work perfectly with each other, and everyone is funny in their own way. Will and Carlton are absolutely brilliant with each other, the cool street kid who is a hit with the women and his nerdy cousin who is a disaster with the ladies. Brilliant

Uncle Phil is probably my favoruite character though, that guy is hilarious. The way he and Will interact is probably my favourite part of the show. He says he hates Will, but you know he doesnt. I agree with an earlier poster that the show is still really watchable today, while others from that time period have not aged well at all.

I always thought it was weird that Will Smith was actually called Will Smith in the show. That has always surprised me, I have never known that to happen before.

I absolutely loved it when I was a kid. This show has such a great sense of humor. It's a really silly kind of humor that I appreciate.

I remember the episode where Will was supposed to edit together some promo for Phillip Banks, like he was supposed to run for major or something. And the video was FUCKING HILARIOUS. xD I really think that scene had a influence on me.

I even managed to find a clip of it. Here it is.

Oh. And not to mention the episode where Will and Carlton get mistakenly put in jail for stealing a car by two racist cops.

Unlike shows like 7th Heaven during the 90s, Fresh Prince actually brought up real social issues from time to time.

It was a great show that a solid cast of characters that were all equally as important to the flow of the show.

And every character brought certain comedic styles to the show as well, Jeffrey was cynical, Jazz was a slapstick character and Carlton was goofy but it never seemed stupid if any of the characters had a serious moment for example when Will was shot and Carlton bought a gun.

What a fantastic show this was, I still hav all the dvds of this series, it still makes me laugh so much now even though I prob know all the words to each episode lol so cleverly done, so funny and stupid. Gotta give this show 10 out of 10 !!!
