Limp Bizkit is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida. The band's lineup consists of Fred Durst (lead vocals), Wes Borland (guitar), Sam Rivers (bass), John Otto (drums) and DJ Lethal. Limp Bizkit has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and have won several other major awards. The band has sold an estimated 50 million albums worldwide.Formed in 1995, the band achieved mainstream success with their second studio album Significant Other, released in 1999.
Their third studio album Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, released in 2000, continued the band's success. The album sold 1.05 million copies in its first week, making it the fastest-selling rock album ever, breaking the record held for 7 years by Pearl Jam's Vs.Following the departure of Wes Borland in 2001, Mike Smith was brought in for the fourth studio album Results May Vary, released in 2003. Borland rejoined the band in 2005 for The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1), but departed again. He rejoined the band in February 2009. Limp Bizkit is due to release Gold Cobra in 2011.
So r u fan of the band? What u think of the band?

I enjoyed them at the height of their success, with the obvious chart toppers 'Rollin', 'Take A Look Around', 'My Way', and 'My Generation'. I remember as a kid being fascinated by Wes Borlands costumes in the videos/concerts.

After 2002, I lost interest. And I think so did a lot of people. The Fred Durst sex tape is rather humerous though.

I remember those days, I remember when they Debuted, and throughout high school, Nu metal was where it was at.

It was a less stressed time in America, but anger was there, and Nu metal filled the airwaves. Limp was the other side of Korn/Deftones, and they were talented for the genre they played in.

I very RARELY use the word Sell out, and I don't feel they sold out, but the changes that they made to their sound was crippling after Chocolate star fish, and they never recovered.

The albums after that, were blatant Rage against the machine inspired goverment hate songs, and people didnt want that from Limp

I believe they have a place in history, just don't know how much of a respected one they have.

I LOVE Limp Bizkit And am Looking Forward to Gold Cobra on June 28th with Shotgun their first single from it being their best in quite a While. Its Good that Freds in Contact with his fans through Facebook, Twitter and their Website.one of my Favourite Bands behind Korn, Metallica and Faith no More. Diverse Listenings right there lol

So r u fan of the band? What u think of the band?

No I'm not a fan , what I think of them is I generally don't like them :icon_neutral: though I sort-of like that song Rollin or w/e its called

But yeah never really liked them as a whole

I used to LOVE Limp Bizkit. They were the first band I ever really got into, and introduced me to the whole rock music scene. I still listen to their albums on occasion, and some of their tracks such as "My Generation" and "My Way" are still regulars on my ipod. I remember being so upset when I couldnt see them tour and all my friends went, but I eventually managed to catch them on the "Results May Vary" tour- being in the mosh pit for "Break Stuff" was freakin' insane!

Their music hasnt really aged well though, or at least most of it has not. Some of their better songs still sound great today, but the constant swearing and immature lyrics are a bit embarassing now you are older and listen to better music.

I will never criticise the band though, they were an important part of growing up for me. I had the LP hoodie, t-shirt, all the albums and even the red Durst cap as well! They are no longer one of my favoruite bands and their later stuff is pretty poor but they were the coolest band around back when nu-metal was the "in" thing!

Keep on Rollin' baby! You know what time it is!

Although I started listening long after their success was over, I also had my period of Limp Bizkit addiction. I remember how I was learning the words to almost every single song of theirs back in sixth grade but my interests faded as soon as hip-hop started taking over as my main genre. I don't dislike them or anything, hell I actually still love some of these songs ("Rollin'", "Take a Look Around", "My Way") but I rarely listen to them nowadays.

I'll be honest, back in the day I really couldn't stand this band. Back in 2000 and 2001 I was completely against anything Limp Bizkit and had urges to claw out my ears when ever I heard them. Then for the 2003(I think)Survivor Series PPV, the theme song was build a bridge. I was astonished when I found out it was by the same band. So I decided to give the band a second chance and went out and purchased Results May Vary. Turned out I really dug the CD,despite all the heavy criticism it got. It just shows you that bands really can evolve and progress their sound if they wanted to.

Even still, Results May Vary is really the only album of theirs I own and is the only Album I can listen to straight through. I do enjoy some of their older songs such as Rollin,My way,Nookie and Faith. Though for me to listen to them would require me to be in a certain mood. Still Build a Bridge remains my favorite song of theirs.

I liked alot of the tracks on Results May Vary. It was a total change in style from the more rap-metal of alot of their earlier material and for some of the songs I think it worked very well. Others not so well. I particularly liked the cover of "Behind Blue Eyes", that was excellently done although I know a lot of people didn't like it.

"Eat You Alive" and "Gimme The Mic" were probably the most traditional LB songs on the CD and I did really like both of those, and "Underneath The Gun", "The Only One" and "Build A Bridge" were all good too. If you went into it thinking you were getting another Chocolate Starfish you would be disappointed, but if you opened your mind a bit you could find a few good tracks on there. Some of them like "Head To The Baricade" and "Phenomenon" were awful though.

I did also like the "Let It Go" bonus track on the UK version, that was a blatant shot at Wes Borland. That is probably the one song off the CD that I listen to most, besides "Behind Blue Eyes"

So their brand new record is out now

I previewed the 3 highest selling tracks from it on iTunes

Those songs being "Golden Cobra" "Bring it back" and "Shark attack" plus some others

"Get a life" in particular sounds like an awesome track w/ awesome lyrics

Tracks 8 through 10 sound kind of annoying though

Overall this shit is honestly pretty cool , pretty good , better than old Limp Bizkit IMO

Cool album cover artwork too

Despite having never liked Limp Bizkit before , I dare say I might end up actually buying this album or at least some songs from it at some point

Limp Bizkit was one of the first bands I got into when I first started to get into new music. It was during the whole TRL era where Backstreet Boys and NSYNC were atop the the charts and I remember marking out hardcore when Nookie took the top spot. I loved Significant Other, my favorite songs were Rearranged and N 2Gether Now. I also had the Chocolate Starfish album which had quite a few songs I really dug.

But over the years I've grown to hate most of the music I liked when I was younger and Bizkit is at the forefront of it. Very few bands have stood the test of time with me, and they aren't one of them. I suppose I'll check out this new album, but I don't have high hopes for it.

I like Nu Metal for one even if Lamb of God doesn't and I am a huge LOG fan. An for Limp Bizkit they were really good and made Rap Metal awesome. It was either you are a Korn fan or Bizkit fan and I like both as they are both good. I think they made Nu Metal kick ass along with Korn and 40 Below Summer. An I like the later stuff and my personal favorite album is the one with Eat You Alive, and not a lot of people dig it but it was a good change for them.

People feel off of limp bizkit as he choose to try to beef with eminem and he went all emotional and sappy and cried on stage and what not. Plus the porno tape didn't help him to much.

Gold Cobra is a good listen to and it is better than 3 dollar bill ya'll and I like that album too. I think limp bizkit is an overall good band an will come back to the scene. They chaged what Metal is now and we need more metal fans for this sappy crappy voice distroting pop and rap crap is killing off metal.

Limp Bizkit will have success but now I think it will be mostly underground with limited radio play. Good band though.

I particularly liked the cover of "Behind Blue Eyes", that was excellently done although I know a lot of people didn't like it.

Right, that was the first song I heard by Limp Bizkit around 4 years back..

I think it's a good cover. :)

Lol Yeah, I wasn't into the whole Nu Metal or even Rock genre in anyway before that.

Their music hasnt really aged well though, or at least most of it has not. Some of their better songs still sound great today, but the constant swearing and immature lyrics are a bit embarassing now you are older and listen to better music.

How true.

Though I still like the band, maybe it's cos I haven't heard any of their new songs. xD
