There's just no point remaking a film like Halloween. It's great as it is, and the new one just won't be able to compete. It might make some money out of name recognition. But the same can be said from films that made money when they were released the first time, but that are flawed. All the studios need to do is find a film with a great story, and make it better. Half the work is already done for them. Or even take a story and go a totally different way, like a more adult version of Groundhog Day. That film isn't shit, but you can still use it to make something different. Once critics watch it then it'll soon get out to the general public that it's just an adult remake of Groundhog Day.
