Why is it cool to hate on Nintendo anyway? The Wii is a great little system.

I liked the GC. Some good games on there, like Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Wario Ware Inc., Chibi-Robo...
The thing is it seems (to me at least) that the Wii-bashers are a lot more vocal than the N64 or GBA bashers were. People are screaming and crying that nintendo is ruining gaming with games that are geared towards the more casual gamer (Wii Sports et. al.), but they ignore the fact that Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Twilight Princess, MadWorld, No More Heroes, and all sorts of other games for both the traditional and "hardcore" crowds were released on the Wii. I actually like that Nintendo is introducing more people to videogames. Wouldn't it be nice to wear a triforce shirt and have people strike up a conversation with you because of it?
Also, I like Wii Fit. It's a great way to get me to remember to exercise and have fun doing it.

Well, all this talk about freezing up RDR session makes me NOT want to buy the game now, and just wait for the patch. Apparently, you also get attacked by invisible cougars.
Really considering getting two old games or just finish up paying for UFC Undisputed 2010.

I know exactly what he's talking about, an its SMG 2 not SMG 1 I do believe. The fact is SMG 2 isn't even out yet, but you're assuming its going to be GOAT. Doesn't matter though, because as long as it had Nintendo on it, or Mario in it, it would be great for you.
And obviously I didn't mean solely this thread, but anyone someone suddenly shows a wee bit of distaste for an old "Masterpiece" you run in like you're on a crusade when you forget in reality...it might just not be someones cup of tea. I didn't like SMG. Not a bad game, but not my thing. Doesn't make it terrible but it doesn't mean its GOAT. Depends on the person.

Of course you do, anyone with any sense will know it has a severe array of good games. It caters the graphic junky needs, it has blu ray and some might fine games. It has better online play than Wii and is definitely the superior console.
That being said, the Wii is a very undderated console, and three and half years on don't you think I've heard it all?

I like them both. My PS3 has some great games and it's very, very useful as a media center. I load up movies and TV shows on my portable hard drive and watch them on my shiny HDTV. But the Wii also has a ton of fun games and I love it as well.

Wii is the only next gen console out there. The PS3 tried to be, but its boomerang/motion sensing controllers were a fail. The 360's just an upgraded last gen console.
