Red Dead Redemption
Finally made it to Blackwater tonight... Killed about 10 Buffalo, but when I went back to skin em, they were gone... Bastards. I guess I'ma take it slow for now, try to clear up all the loose ends and whatnot... Oughta be interesting...
Theres a trophy...or if you play Xbox..an "Acheivement", for if you kill the last Buffalo. All you have to do is find a pack of them and kill them all...but I haven't done it yet. I'm also trying to figure out how to "rob" trains...like I was promised by commercials and such...apparently it's currently not "supported". I heard there gonna release a free DLC for it in June, Plus more Multiplayer stuff.

I might wait awhile before I replay it. I will without doubt replay it though, I replay all the R* games like 20,000 times. I think I mighta mentioned in here that I played "Bully" over and over. Replayed San Andreas last July. Replayed half of Vice City back near October, then I replayed GTA 4. The GTA storylines never get old, and I'm sure I'll be replaying RDR quite a few times.

I think I'ma just do the bad guy gimmick with my after game save, because the story just doesn't fit with Marston being a dick..because he's trying to "change".

John Marston's attitude is badass, threating people and all that.

Yeah but he also helps people too, and his attitude towards Bonnie isn't too threating.

Currently, I'm trying to do an online challenge where I have too take out both mexican hideouts without dieing in one game session. It's starting to piss me off. I almost had it the first time...and ended up getting killed with one bullet having full health from 72 yards away, plus it was a only a repeater that killed me...the same repeater you get from Bonnie at the beggining of the game.

The second time (take note, I've already gone over and over with the first one after dieing a few times, so the second one is a must get immeaditly or else I'll have to re-do the first one.) After clearing out half of the place, I end up getting killed by a guy who is jumping through walls..which pissed me off even more is the fact that it also only took him on hit too kill me...with the simple repeater.

EDIT: My next try...some fat ass kills me immediatly with a throwing knive.

Ok I got it. Turns out you don't have to get them both in one life, just in one session. Last one is Tumbleweed and Fort Mercer. I've gotten through Tumbleweed a few times without dying, but Fort Mercer is going to be a bitch.

I shot a random guy on the road in the legs and he starts crawling, all of a sudden a pack of wolves kill him and finish him off. only if i had of recorded that on video.

So... I FINALLY make it to Blackwater, and head up northwest to get my beaver pelts... I find this nice little nook in a canyon somewhere and holy sweet shit... Apparently I found a wolf/bear spawn point... I'll try and post a picture I took of the carcass pile I left behind, but lets just say that after I left, I went to Mexico and sold everything I picked up for about 9000.00

I probably would have been laughing my ass off, that sounds priceless.

Ok so I did the other challenges with Tumbleweed and that. Easier then I though, I was in the middle of doing Tumbleweed, when some guy asks me to join his posse, I did and accidently teleported to him. I got kinda pissed off because I was in the middle of Tumbleweed, but it turns out his posse was doing fort mercer, and I easily got that without dieing. Then I did Tumbleweed with a huge posse. I joined a new Free Roam and nobody was in a posse, so I invited everybody, and just about everybody joined. It was pretty epic. They helped me easily do the next ones, which would have been a huge bitch. I had to get the one mexican gang hideout using just throwing weapons and my knife. I got a good amount of them, and my huge posse did the rest.

I had to do the knife thing again but in gaptooth ridge, which woulda been an even bigger bitch alone. I actually go the "posse up" trophy, which is having a posse with the max amount of people. I decided to take a break and dismissed my huge ass posse. Mostly because it was pretty big, and my next thing for that challenge was to get the two gang hideouts Solomons Folly, and Gaptooth, without dieing. Considering we just did those too, I decided to leave it.

I'm now trying to get Gaptooth without dieing, alone, which is really annoying. I might go and try to form another posse. I already did Solomon's folly by myself.

Edit: Just tried Gaptooth about 4 times. 2/4 of the times I died, I got killed turning around a corner from the fucking Repeater Carbine, which is the first fucking rifle you get in the game, killing me with one shot. The other death I got killed when my camera angle fucking switched all around to when I was trying to auto aim, and I got killed by two fat ass miners....fucking miners.

Damn im missing out on online play at the moment. :(, i hope to get online sometime this weekend or early next week.

I have to admit though, online gets a little repetitive, but the amount of awesomeness it provides makes up for it.

As for the hunting thing Johnny, I only have 4,000 dollars on my end of game save file, so 9000 dollars is kick ass, not to mention it's in the Old West, you'd be richer then the President.

So... I just BEAT the game... you know, AFTER all the Family missions... and I can only say "Wow..." My jaw hit the floor so fucking fast, I coulda swallowed flies... I was in awe... Rockstar is the shit at storytelling. I can't even describe those last few moments... Rockstar has my fucking vote for President.

and yeah... I'm up to about 15,000 now. I just hunt and skin and sell all the bear stuff in Mexico... It's a long process, but shit...it keeps me busy...

This is how great the game is and its story, im nearing finishing the game for a second time, but i've slowed down and doing hideouts and hunting and robbing people. I only have 4 missions plus the 1 stranger mission after you beat the game.

Yeah make sure you do that last stranger mission, you find the guy in blackwater. It kinda ties up some loose ends.

Huh, I wasn't as shocked at the ending as much as you guys where. It might be because I'm used to awesome endings by R*, or maybe a couple days after I got the game, some jagoff told everybody the ending in a comment on an RDR youtube video!!!!

:disappointed:

Awww....man. I just ACTUALLY beat the game... And that was saweeet... I didn't realize that you had to go a on a revenge quest...that was sick! Red Dead Retribution anybody?

One of the things i love about RDR is when you kill someone, it randomly generates a death animation so the motions are never thesmae when you kill people.

Yeah R* used their RAGE engine, they used Europhia or something close to that, which is what they used causing those great animations.

Anybody ever shoot the head of a hogtied victim in the middle of the desert while in dead eye mode.

I always find it fun. I remember the first time...I hogtied the dude, and ran him out to the middle of nowhere. I highly considered being a nice guy and letting him go..lost in the desert. I also considered just leaving him there to die..still tied up (which would be a horrible way to die.), but I ended up having some fun, and went into dead up...giving him one simple "x". I actually tried to undo it..but it was too late, and his head was blown off...into a million little pieces in an epic way.
