Raw's in Miami June 7th.

The King

Dark Match Winner
As most of you already know, tonights Raw is live from Miami Florida and is set to be host by the cast of the A-Team. It is also set to be a 3 hour event for that viewers choice thing. However since the show is in Miami and is a 3 hour event it leads my to believe one thing. The potential return of The Rock. It does logically makes sense for an appearance tonight by The Great One. I want your thoughts. Am I simply just dreaming? Or is there a chance we see The Rock tonight? And say he does make an appearance on the show, what's he gonna do?

This has already been done in about 3-5 different threads. Please read them more carefully because chances are this thread will be deleted soon.

It was announced over the weekend that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, along with his fellow ‘A-Team’ counterparts, will serve as special guest hosts on the June 7th edition of Raw.

Case closed. If the Rock appears it'll more than likely be over pre-recorded satellite. But to be honest I don't think he'll even appear because if they were bringing in THE ROCK they'd advertise it because people would then tune in. And even more so OLD fans that stopped watching after the Rock & Austin finished their careers would tune in to see The Rock.

If The Rock showed up on RAW, don't you think the WWE would advertise the hell out of it? Besides, The Rock lives in LA now. Would be sweet though...

I'm pretty sure he was supposed to guest host this one...they had it mentioned a lot in April....i'm guessing they dropped it...

And it would have been great to give the rock the whole summer as GM..it could have been huge...im guessing they dropped it again!!

If the E really wanted to surprise us they'd have the The Rock show up tonight by surprise unannounced and without advertising it. I know right away it doesnt sound like smartest thing to do, but it would have alot of people talking. "Did you see the Rock last night? Did you see the The Rock last night?" If the E had this element of surprise it would make more people tune in, because you dont know what can happen, just like WCW Nitro did in the 90's. I remember I couldnt even change the channel because I thought I would miss something cool happen.

I know in the internet and tweet age its hard to keep a secret and a surprise, but if the E would plan something big one day not even their own employees should know. Only Vince and the people involved, and it'll have to be kept at a low number of people to not risk it leaking to the outside world.

I personally agree and disagree with you here. I was TOTALLY with you on the WCW thing I mean holy hell I even had a VHS tape RECORDING every Nitro incase something unexpected happened..mainly a bathroom trip, a doorbell ringing or an unexpected phone call. But if the E does bring the Rock back tonight.. HUGE let down. They've advertised Stone Cold before and Austin is much bigger than the Rock so IMO they should advertise when the Rock is coming. Simply put if they advertise it they'll garner more ratings for that show then they will if they fail to advertise it. Yes word of mouth does travel and WWE might acquire some fans back if they hear that they missed the Rock. But then what..they watch for 1 week, 2 weeks then nothing special happens and they remember whatever reason it was that they stopped watching in the first place. And unfortunately WWE has never/will never be able to do what Nitro did to keep their fans interested. Let's face it back in the days of the "hostile takeover" of Hall/Nash the IWC wasn't nearly as far along as it is now. I mean now we've got spoilers for 2 weeks out on TNA, we've got Superstars taping results and stuff. I, personally don't think the WWE can do ANYTHING to gain many new fans. The only real way they could do it is if they did what one of the previous posters mentioned and that was to make Rock GM for perhaps the Summer. That would have been AWESOME, but like usual WWE has dropped the ball.

Onto a prediction for tonight. Just a wild unplanned guess as to how tonight will go..
My guess is tonight we'll see Rampage get punked out by a heel saying how he blew his fight with Evans then Rampage will get one of his cronies to fight that heel because Rampage isn't allowed to get into the ring and have any sort of physical altercation as Dana White said Rampage would have to run it by White if he could do such a thing. And as far as anyone has heard that hasn't happened.

Good post KoC417, but wwe dropping the ball on The Rock?

Dont you think the problem is more with The Rock himself? WWE has had its doors wide open for the The Rock to come back. Even if its for a few months. But The Rock is "too big of a hollywood star" right now for him to be involved with the wwe in this way. Millions of fans would love to see a Rock vs Cena storyline and Wrestlemania match. Sadly that doesnt look like it'll ever happen. Im sure the E would have no problem making The Rock Raw GM for a few weeks or months. It is The Rock who is not interested. Everytime The Rock sends some bullshit via satellite video you can hear the boos in the crowd. It gives a feeling of like "Im too important for me to be there" And this is the company that made him RICH AND FAMOUS!!

It's possible. The Rock appearing doesn't have to be previously announced, hell, most of Rock's post wrestling appearances in WWE have been surprises. I think it's definitely a possibility with it being in Miami, and it being Viewers Choice. Maybe The Rock is a choice for a special guest referee or something? Im not holding my breath though.

I remember this was rumored like 4 months ago and I'm pretty dissapointed that we haven't heard anything since.

I wouldn't count the possibility of The Rock coming out tonight, but it's unlikely. The whole argument that they would advertise it isn't very strong in my opinion. WWE has pulled fast ones on us before. I just hope that if The Rock ever does come back, that it's good. Sorry but Austin guest hosting was terrible... they totally dropped the ball on something that could have been amazing.

It would be a huge shock if Rocky came back for this RAW. But theres two reasons why he might...One its in Miami (but he lives in LA as someone else said), and the other is Viewers choice (which we all know wont have any impact on what we choose, it would all be organised before) so WWE might say that people voted for The Rock, therefore he would come back.
Dont hold your breath over it though, it most likley wont happen...But No-one says it wouldn't...I'm Just Sayin...

While there's always a possibility that The Rock might make an appearance, I wouldn't count on it. If The Rock was going to be there, the WWE would have hyped the shit out of it in the hopes of drawing as many interested viewers as possible. When it comes to hype, the WWE doesn't generally do stuff half assed. Having a huge name like The Rock make an appearance, not announcing it and just hoping that viewers might decide to tune in is more of a TNA strategy than WWE.

As for The Rock, you can't lay the blame on the WWE for The Rock not hosting the show. Everytime I've read up on anything about it, it's always been about The Rock's schedule and how they've never been able to work hosting Raw into it. While it would be nice to see The Rock again, I'm not overly concerned about it.

Yea I wouldn't count on the Rock being there tonight. While it would be nice, I just don't see it happening. As has been said many times already, if the Rock were going to make an appearance, it would be hyped like nothing you've ever seen. It would be foolish on WWE's part to hope more than the usual viewers watch just so that the Rock's appearance would be a surprise. So don't look for it tonight. You'll know when he's coming.
