Raw/SD/NXT/Impact Thoughts and Reviews

Bill Lesnar

Occasional Pre-Show
Well I would have posted this in Jericholics thread...BUT the i cannot post in a thread with such a shit and unappealing thread title. So i will post any wrestling thoughts i have in here. I encourage other prisoners to do the same.

Punk proved once again his Nexus kicks the crap out of the original. Whereas Wade would have brought out everyone for a long, boring beatdown, Punk laid out separate & original plans for each one. Any episode with CM Punk featured so much is awesome. As a bonus, his selling both for the nose & the low blow were amazing. It annoys Bill lesnar that the wwe wasted so much time initially with the original nexus. I see numerous people rage on about Vince making a comeback blah blah, WWE missed a GREAT opportunity when Nexus carried out another of their long drawn out beatings on the chairman himself. Vince should have revealed that he was the MASTERMIND behind Nexus and he was attempting to replace his older stars with youth. In other words, he could have bragged up his businessman side and say that he was getting younger workers but for cheaper to replace everyone's favorite veteran stars. It should have been a convincing and believable way for Vince McMahon to return on-camera and give the Nexus an experienced leader. Those on the WWE Creative Staff, and that includes any McMahon or those related, need to get their heads out of their ass. Finally Nexus is slightly exciting and they are providing what can be considered riveting television. This in Bill lesnar’s view is because of CM punk and the experience he bought to the table that nexus were sorely lacking.

The wrestlers as individuals aren't over and thus the stable is not as believable like it should be for such an idea. Vince Mcmahon’s original plan was to get them all on TV at once which is fair enough. But, after the initial debut, Bill lesnar honestly would have had individual Nexus members face jobbers in squash matches. Gone are the days of Iron Mike Sharpe, Barry Horowitz, and Jack Foley (just kidding on the last one). Defeating jobbers, then defeating the Hart Dynastys on the WWE builds heat and builds credibility but instead they had that awful night after summerslam where they were made to look like fools against the big guns in the wwe. . A note from the Jomo vs perfect jr match - hennig was selling very well. Otunga once again barely wrestled. Another reason why I can’t stand wwe pg is because of the terrible comedy that goes on, this time referencing to King Sheamus making a pie joke about a fat person (sheesh). So the only purpose was to make two big men into mark Henrys bitch. Great.

Bill lesnar is sick to fucking death of these lazy gimmick ppvs’ which kill the gimmick itself. Wrestling in a way is too dependent on gimmick wrestlers, instead of having solid one on one bouts in which the wrestlers have to tell a story and for once use in ring psychology. The ppv is so freaking unnecessary it’s not funny and as of this moment there is no reason to buy the ppv. I used to LOVED chamber matches due to the blood and violence but now that that is virtually gone they are a waste of time.

Del Rio still hasn’t convinced Bill lesnar that he is worthy of joining the greats in terms of being a rumble winner. Yeah he’s good but he’s still not mania ME quality and it showed tonight. They rushed the guy who may resemble him (JBL) when a slow push would have suited Bradshaw better and they are making the same mistake with Alberto. Both guys getting pushed because in Bill lesnars eyes there is no one else to push and they were/are getting desperate. He lacks in-ring charisma or something that screams for the crowd to hate him. He has to taunt the crowd when he works on Santino's arm or something. Just seems too bland and solid but not being spectacular with his in-ring abilities. There is no doubting he will get there and be HUGE but thanks to more poor booking and rushing of youngsters into ME spot he only has 2 months to achieve something he would be better suited to achieving in 2 years or a bit less.

The WWE champ, the Miz once again wrestling in the raw midcard. What is that 3 weeks now?, sorry this is fucking ridiculous. Both guys throw around heaps of lame insults (faux Mohawk and so on), before Ted the Jobber comes in as DB makes the save. DB still doesn’t have a match at the chamber whilst R-Truth does. Bill lesnar don’t get that. Bryan should be wrestling Miz for the title to go to mania not Lawler. There is huge chemistry there and there fued from last year has not run its course. A clean win for the Miz vs Bryan would be huge for him in the scheme of things. It pissed Bill Lesnar off to no end seeing Miz (the younger wrestler) having to slow down for Kings offense (punches). It’s obvious that cole will help get Miz the win over King (sigh). Even more funny is the fact that creative are using their wwe champ to set up a fued between the announcers.

Then they decide to give Punk vs Cena away on FREE TV once again, flushing money down the toilet in the process. Not the best effort from either guy but it’s understandable given the time they had to work with. Cena kicks Punk in the match and you have your little punk looking scared thing finish the show. Show was below par which in Bill lesnars view has been the case for the past month. PG T.v pisses me off more and more as each week passes by. Sheamus, Miz and Vena were SHOCKING in the content and delivery in their promos. Bill lesnar blames PG due to how safe they need to make the content.

just my 2 cents.

Dayum, Raw was a good show. ONE OF THE BEST BILL LESNAR HAS SEEN IN A LONG TIME.

Punk vs Cena started the show. Bill lesnar still doesn’t like the fact that wwe constantly give away a money maker like Cena vs punk on free t.v. Punk has been disappointing in recent weeks due to the guys around him who he has to carry on his shoulders every week and thus most of his screen time is taken up with Otunga and co. WWE dropped the ball on this fued for whatever reason, just think back to when Punk hit Cena with the chair. It seemed an epic storyline was set but it fizzled and instead we got Cena vs the Nexus all over again. WWE can’t build confrontational matches anymore, and it’s more about throwing them in matches against each other over and over again because of course that increases tension. Cena throws around the usual pg era comedy before the match as he just doesn’t look like he will stop talking. Punk arrives continuing his streak of interrupting terribly flat Cena promos. After ripping Cole during his stay on the announcers table, punk calls Cole a good Samaritan, as Cole foreshadows something BIG by saying ‘it’s going to be an electric night’’. The match was back and forth cos they have such great chemistry together, lots of HIGH IMPACT moves and strikes. Match ends when a nexus member under the ring hand’s Punk a wrench and the rest is history. Bill lesnar likes the way this was booked and Punk going over Cena clean is BIG for him. Still it’s odd to have a match of this magnitude open the show on free t.v when really it’s a ppv main eventer.

Next up Bill lesnar thinks was a segment between Edge and Del Rio. Bill lesnar still isn’t high on Del Rio. He doesn’t garner nearly enough heat nor have the experience to headline Mania but whatever + Bill lesnar finds his promos slightly boring, robotic and one dimensional. They don’t really say much. After a while of something happening Vickie and Dolph comes out. My god Vickie gets HUGE heat, she puts Del Rio & Ziggler the two number one contenders to shame in that regard. What really fucks me off about the terrible booking here is the title inflation that is cheapening the WHC BIG TIME. If they go through with this Ziggler will get his first title FAR too early and in the lamest way possible not only that BUT when Edge wins the title at the chamber that could be 11 reigns for him. That’s just ridiculous and lazy booking esp considering that if Vince is serious with Del Rio, he will win the title at mania BUT edge will win it back for the 12th time at Extreme rules or something. I think the Divas appeared somewhere, around this time, but who cares. Next Up was that TERRIBLE segment with the Modern family chick. It looked awkward, took far too long and again a pet peeve of Bill lesnars was too Kiddy orientated, like WAY to kiddie orientated. Regal-Ryder thing was amusing but everything else can fuck right off, this 5 minutes or so could have been used for something else like lengthening Rocks amazing promo.

Another 21/2/11 promo aired clearly showing taker, man the hype died down for that once people including myself knew it was him and not Sting. HOWEVER don’t write Sting off completely. From my perspective I saw some things. Were those Scorpion’s under the stairs? but there is a main standing inside (Undertaker) and then they cut to a man standing outside? It came off as though someone was stalking Taker and wanting to enter his house etc. Fuck Sting vs Taker would be epic. I LOVED Sheamus beating the shit out of Mark Henry. That’s how he should be booked, the powerhouse monster that destroys everything in his path. A brutal son of a bitch, not some pussy hiding from Orton and co and cheating to steal wins. Henry vs Sheamus to big stiffs going at it doesn’t interest me in the slightest however it is a wet dream of Vince’s and Bill Lesnar really hopes we don’t see this at Mania. Tag match next I think. Morrison showing some of that intensity that he’s lost in recent weeks. He needs aggression to take him to the next level and it’s GREAT to see this side too him and it immediately makes him a legit contender. He needs a Chris Benoit like Foe to really get the aggressive and intensity out of him though. His punches still look weak and VERY fake. Still as said stated before, this show of psychology and legit being angered by the way punk made him look like a fool last week are welcome. All Bill lesnar is going to say on the two nexus members is that they both suck and should be sent back to ECW. Neither can talk or work a match. Mason Ryan is being booked wrong, no surprises there. Why is it so hard for creative to book him like Sid and let him powerbomb/slam/destroy everyone in sight so you know it actually makes him look like a monster. Creative is just appalling, please no more of managing feed Ryder/tatsu and all the other jobbers to him…he needs it.

Bryan vs Miz was Next Bill lesnar thinks and as expected it was easily match of the night. This should be happening at the elimination chamber as Miz needs to look strong and get momentum heading into the biggest match of his life OR it should have happened the week after he won his title. A win over a guy like Bryan who MAKES MIZ LOOK GREAT is always great for the credibility. Miz should have crushed Bryan instead of chasing after Jerry Lawler and looking like a twat week in week out. Heat my ass. They almost fuck it up anyway as Miz the wwe champ comes out FIRST and BRYAN the US champ comes out SECOND. Bryan carried Miz’s overrated self throughout this match as Miz looks great vs all the GREAT sellers (Jomo/Bryan and Truth, yeah Truth sells well) and against anyone else his inexperience shows like Orton and Edge who can’t carry him and get frustrated as a result. After getting carried all over the ring by a guy with proper wrestling experience, Miz wins with the skull-crashing-finale and looks GREAT in the process heading into the chamber. Sheamus vs Orton was meh as all their matches are, they just don’t have the chemistry do they? and their styles don’t mesh well at all. Mainly due to the hype off the next match Bill lesnar is struggling to be interested although there is a surprising amount of energy shown from both guys. Orton wins after 5 minutes which pisses me off as Sheamus once again looks out of his depth and still hasn’t beaten Orton.

Next up was the BIG moment, the lights go out signaling something epic is about to happen and Rocks music heats (nice new theme, Bill lesnar digs). Rock soaks up the HUGE reaction and cuts an awesome promo on Miz/Cena. The fans and off course Wrestlemania27. He hasn’t lost his touch on the mic either and his delivery his PERFECT. There's something to be said about a guy who comes back after 7+ years and gets cheered louder than any talent established since then. Rock is streets ahead of everyone on the roster in terms of Mic skils and charisma and had the crowd on his hands the whole time. Promos now are too scripted and forced, stars need to have more freedom on the mic to get the fans behind them ON THEIR OWN TERMS. The more freedom you have on the mic, the more your confidence builds and thus your promos sound MUCH more convincing and believable and because of that the fans WANT to cheer and boo you. WOW it was such an incredible promo, the heartfelt parts was very good as well, most of the signature lines were said, all in all it’s the best promo Bill Lesnar has seen in a LONG time. The lockeroom should take notice because this is how you gain interest in what you do. Rock could hype and sell any match the night before, if he had to. Wrestling has missed me SO VERY much. There needs to be more character development in the wwe!. Just great too see him out there too and he’s gotten much bulkier since Bill lesnar last saw him. The way his hand was shaking, the reaction on his face as he soaked it all in. You could tell how much it meant to him and how HAPPY he was to be back. AMAZING episode and Bill lesnar has been left intrigued by what will happen next. CENA VS ROCK, Bill Lesnar wants it.
