Raw 7-14-14 - Go home to Battleground - Let's find out what Sting was teasing

Here we go. Cue up the "Punk is coming back" stuff now that WWE is promoting this thing on the Network.

I don't know about the "CM Punk is coming back" stuff. But it's hard to imagine that they would be featuring him so prominently on the WWE Network, and by default on RAW, if his departure was as acrimonious as many guys make it seem. I would think that if he walked out in the company forever, they'd be distancing themselves from him, not featuring him in his own special.

They want those Network subscribers so I think no harm done in advertising Punk regardless of the circumstances of his departure.

I agree with you. I'm just saying that its planting the seeds for some people to think it means his return is imminent.

I'm not saying I see any harm in it, I'm just a little surprised. Especially considering the timing. A couple of weeks after the return of his wife to RAW to recapture her title. Especially on 7/14/14.

Regarding Punk, I think it'll be a good long while before he's back, but things like this are a good sign that whatever the circumstances at first, the WWE has learned a lesson about putting departed superstars on the blacklist. Considering Punk's wife works for the WWE and they're making him a big part of the Network right now, I think it's a clear message that the door is open down the road. I wouldn't be surprised to see Punk back for some special appearances here and there. He's already built a Hall of Fame career in the ring.

Divas have been getting a lot of attention lately.

Cameron and Naomi falling out
Bellas vs Stephanie
AJ/Paige which has to pick back up at some point
Alicia Fox is getting a lot of time

I think it's nice for them.
