Rey Mysterio originally worked for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) in Mexico, from 1992 to 1995. He wrestled in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) from 1995 to 1996 and World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1996 to 2001, as Rey Misterio, Jr./Rey Mysterio, Jr. but dropped the "Junior" from his name when he began working for WWE in 2002.
Mysterio is known for having a high flying style, which helped kick-start the cruiserweight wrestling revolution in the United States in the late 1990s during his time in WCW. In WCW, Mysterio won the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship five times, the WCW World Tag Team Championship three times, and the WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship once with Billy Kidman as part of the Filthy Animals. In WWE, Mysterio is a three time world champion having held the World Heavyweight Championship twice and the WWE Championship once. He has also held the WWE World Cruiserweight Championship three times (a record eight times overall when added with his WCW reigns), the WWE Tag Team Championship four times, and the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice, making him the 21st person to win the Triple Crown Championship. Mysterio was also the winner of the 2006 Royal Rumble.

the guy has a screwed up left knee,(same as me), he's usually the shorter one,(same as me), and is willing to sacrafice for his company.

so on a scale from 1-10 what would u rate him.

I would probably give him a 9 out of 10 aswell in my veiw he is the most entertaining in-ring worker the WWE has at the moment despite his age which was proved at the most recent monday night Raw and I still think he has another good 3 or 4 years left in him even though there are whispers that he might retire within the next year and if he does it will be a huge loss to the WWE and is at the stage of the career were he is being used to put the younger guys over which he has been doing very well with guys like Rhodes, Punk, Truth etc

Rey is really over with the crowd, became one of the big names on Smackdown despite having to compete with guys like Taker, Big Show, Kurt Angle, The Rock, and Triple H over the years. He was one of the WCW guys who could really separate himself from Eddie's shadow and make a name for himself. Hes a multiple time world champion, great in the ring and great on the mic. I dont see anything wrong with him other than his knee, and thats not his fault.

I do not hate the guy or anything, but I would give Rey a 6 out of 10 on a 1 to 10 point scale. I generally do not like luchadors to begin with and I find him to be incredibly overrated. Plus his endless feuds against giants in WWE got so incredibly OLD. I also do not like the 619. It is one of the worst finishers in my opinion. There, now that we have the bad part out of the way.... I do have things I like about him. He has had fantastic matches with cruiserweights or other guys his size and he truly loves his fans. He gets the rating I gave him because although he's not awful, he IS overrated and lately has become a shadow of how good he used to be.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great worker but his character hasnt changed in the past 2 or 3 years. I also don't think his moves have changed either. Alot of wrestlers have the same moves, but I think as a luchador Rey Rey should really step up with some different innovative moves. I don't believe WWE would let him get too crazy though, so it isn't all his fault. I liked him back in WCW when he got unmasked. His charisma and altogether ring presence seemed to shine.

he has talent but I think at this point we have seen everything he has to offer. The best thing I've ever seen out of him was being launched like a dart by Kevin Nash. He can't cut a promo to save his life.

He works so hard, and has overcome so much in his career. What he has done is ground breaking and is nothing short of amazing. His in-ring work is great, he knows how to work the mic very well and is so well over with the crowd. Memorable feud with Eddie Guerrero, which proves he CAN cut a promo

Sorry but at the moment i can only give him a 6.Now when he was in the cruiserweight division in WCW i would give him a 9.I never have and never will buy guys as small as Mysterio being world champion.It's just ridiculous.You can't deny the guy's work ethic or in-ring ability but he doesn't belong in the world title scene.Disagree with me if you want,but why did they have him win the WWE championship only to drop it to Cena later that night?I rest my case.

I think I'm pretty much in line with the critics. I LIKE Rey Mysterio Jr. I really do. But he's only a 6. If it were the Luchadore division in WCW or the cruiser weight in WWE he's a 10. He has no real great rival, already Sin Cara has fallen flat with his dumbass failing of the drug policy, WWE'S drug policy no less!

Mysterio IS the best little guy ever, the stuff he does is great. But come on, this is the guy that Kevin Nash threw into the side of a trailer like he was a lawn dart. He's not in the same league as Cena, Goldberg, Nash, HHH and so many other guys he's fought and beat.

Love him, but only so long as he knows his role and stays put. Best Luchadore ever. Joke of a world heavyweight competitor.

Rey's an odd one because people either love him, or they hate him. His in-ring talent is unquestionable and he's done a fantastic job of transitioning from classic lucha style to a more technical/ground based style. Rey's always over with the crowd and is a guy who clearly loves his fans. He's talented and humble, an uncommon mix in wrestling. Is he a big money draw though? Probably not. His World title reigns have been largely forgettable, not to mention his first has come under HUGE fire due to its continuous association with the death of Eddie Guerrero. I think Rey's fine for a short interim champion as we saw with his previous two world championship wins, but a long push at the top as champion showcases weaknesses in Mysterio's character and arsenal. He's a fantastic athlete and short runs in the main event are fine, however longer ones don't work. I'd give him 8/10.

He's a good wrestler. Always has been an underdog in the sport of professional wrestling. A former 3 time world champ, former tag champ, IC champ, cruiserweight champ etc. Rey's held all the gold there is to hold. He's been around for a while and apparently he was due for a push (apparently hes injured though) He is easily a future hall of famer. I gotta give him 8/10

I trust Rey Mysterio more than any other wrestler to put on a good to great match and he has done that more consistently than everybody else since he came to the WWE. It irks me that a knock on him is that a smaller guy shouldn't beat bigger guys because it's unbelievable. If that's the case, then guys like Show and Khali should never lose because they're bigger and stronger than everyone. Rey steals the show at a PPV more than anybody than Shawn Michaels and that's why he gets a 10 from me.

Let's see. How about his matches with Edge in 2008 and the Elimination Chamber in 2009 and 2011. Don't forget his matches with Cody Rhodes either. Like I've said before, Mysterio usually has the best match on a PPV and his lack of size doesn't hinder it one bit.

Probably and 8.5/10. I really liked the fued he had with CM Punk. I really think that might have been his best work yet. I also enjoyed the fued with Chavo back in 2006-2007, when Chavo turned on him.
