OK so I'm watching Impact and there is a Knock-Outs match with Velvet and Mickie vs Angelina and Sarita the problem here is both Angelina and Sarita have regular tag partners, Winter and Rosita respectively. So my question is why did they put this random team together? It's not needed and if anything I'd rather see Winter or Rosita on TV anyway.

I don't really know why they did it and I don't think it made sense since as you mentioned they both have established tag team partners.
as far as who I'd rather see, Angelina is easily more appealing on the eyes to me over the other 3, and I do think Sarita would edge out the other 2 for number 2. I myself am not a fan of Winter much at all. she looks old to me. I check and see she's only 31, but I would have guess closer to 40.

I haven't watched TNA much lately. But I have not seen Hernandez, Rosita, or Anaraquie lately. My guess is that they dropped this group or at least dropped Sarita from the group. She used to have that mask on when in the group and she doesn't even have that anymore. But who knows...
I would rather see any of those Knockouts over Angelina, even ODB. I think Angelina is pretty darn ugly. The only nice thing to look at, are her boobs. But yeah, I was a little confused at to why they did that too. I love Winter, so I was disappointed in not seeing her. Just glad Velvet Sky was on TV though, she's the hottest thing walking the earth.
It is because of the lackluster booking. The main focus of TNA is in the world title and knockout title only IMO. I don't see proper build for any other titles except world and Knockout title and somewhat the tag team titles. I have not seen TV title being built. They are going in the wrong direction. Vince Russo being fired hasn't helped them.
Similarly, creative team is doing a weak job. They only build title contenders and stupid people and storylines. ODB and EY partners? Haha.
That is why they even forget that some tag team even exist there.

i was wondering this too but then i got to thinking and realized that during the battle royal to decide the new #1 contender to gail kim's title it came to Velvet,Sarita and Angelina so thats probably why the ugly half of those tag teams teamed up against velvet & mickie (who i think could make a really good face team) so its not all that random sure both have tag partners but this actullay made sense if you think about it

It is just TNA's way of trying to incorporate more Knockouts into their weekly show. The Knockouts are consistently amongst the highest draws each week, so I'm sure they think using them more than once a show, and in greater numbers may help their ratings.
Now, the pairing this last week was pretty awkward. It seems TNA has abandoned both Mexican America and The Angelina/Winter storylines for the time being. Also, TNA has a bad habit of painting a pretty broad canvas that all heels will associate with each other just because they are heels.

Yeahhhhhh.....OR it's like Mike Tenay said and this is a new alliance that has recently formed. Both we're the last two heels in the KO battle royal (excluding Madison), and also recently had an altercation with Velvet Sky. Neither was having relevant success with their existing partners so it shouldn't be much of a shocker that perhaps they wanted to test other options. Is this "random"? I guess if random means not having any direct ties to one another, however in a kayfabe world where they're just two ladies fighting for the KO tag titles finding new competent partners seems plausible. This reeks of non-issue...
The real reason why these 2 where together was because both Winter & rosita were booked somewhere else during the first t.v. tapings and couldn'T make the taping. I'm sure that after Victory Road that everybody will be back together like it always was.
