Punk Vs Aries

I'm watching WWE Raw tonight and a fan had a sign tonight saying 'Punk Vs Aeris' and my jaw dropped as that matchup came to mind. I for one would LOVE to see that match. Austin Aries vs CM Punk.

I know most people will come in and say who will win but me, In all honesty I could not tell you who would win, I think both wrestlers are great. This is a match I would pay the price to see, to me this is a Wrestlemania/Bound for Glory type match. I know with both in different companys it wouldn't happen but still the prospect of the match is one to hope for.

Austin Aries was the Ring of Honor World Champion and although his title reign was no where as long as Joe's in terms of days, he had racked up even more title defences. With Generation Next backing him up he was the man as he defeated the unstopppable Samoa Joe for the title with his amazing flurry of Crucifix Bomb, Punt to the head, Brainbuster and 450 Splash.

He then had a title defence against CM Punk, the man who was heading to the WWE. No one thought Punk could win because this was apparently his last match. How wrong everyone was and he defeated Aries in an epic match by using the Pepsi Plunge. This kicked off the original Summer of Punk, turning Punk from the face newly crowned champion to the manical heel champion in mere seconds when he turned on the fans and then went on to sign his WWE contract on the ROH World title...

Aries vs. Punk was an awesome match and think all should find it watch it if you haven't already.

I am going to go watch that match right now as that was a little before my ROH time. I just had texted a friend tonight saying how much I would like to see a Punk vs. Aries match. I was unsure if they had met in ROH before, and now that I know I am excited to go back and watch it. Would love to see that happen today as well.

Anyway, that match was amazing so I'd love a rematch.

I saw that too and thought Holy Crap that would be an amazing matchup. Yeah they fought before but both men have adapted their styles a lot since then. I would love to see it happen.
heck I would love to see a one night only cross promotion PPV type of event between WWE and TNA.

 

[IT Factor]

I would love to see a publicity stunt where WWE & TNA work together in an attempt to get more viewers. What better way to do that than bring in TNA World Champ, Austin Aries in a champion vs. champion match against CM Punk. Although this is probably never going to happen, I would love to see it.
