For all you newer guys who are all down about your smaller reps, don't worry about it too much. It takes a while to find your style when posting on the forums and it takes time to be recognized. There are people out there who stop and read a post when you make one and respect what you do, your name just hasn't gotten out yet.

It took me a long time to get recognized on the forums as well, but as I began to find my style people started noticing me, and guys like NorCal and Tenta would encourage me to post more often and almost two years later, I finally have that nice full looking green bar, IC25 has taken me in as one of his proteges, and I've had people tell me they like my posts.

Guys like Alex Waters, Nexus Mike, Serious Jones, Arkham, and lots of others, there are plenty of guys here who recognize you and like your posts (I have a Serious Jonesin for bad Serious Jones puns in LDs), and you'll have that big green bar one day, just keep being good posters.

Also, Joe and Alex helped get rid of that pesky 1. Thanks guys.

I agree with what JGlass said though I would like to add one more thing. If you are a good poster you will be recognized here regardless of your rep power. If some of you posters ever come down to the cage you will get a chance to see some guys with huge rep bars but ask anyone about them and they will say that they are shit posters.

Look at Natural. Yes he might not have a full green rep bar but he is the protege of possibly the finest poster on this site, our very own mod IC25. You know how that happened? Because Natural got recognized because of his phenomenal posts in the music sections regardless of his rep.

At the end of the day rep is only a number. I know when I first started out here I viewed rep pretty highly. But there are quite a few ways of getting rep here. If you go down to the cage and start being a dick( albeit a funny dick) chances are your rep would increase. But the reputation of a good poster is something that is hard to earn and you will only earn that by posting well in the non spam sections of this forum.
