Possible New Tag Team: Batista and McIntyre?

This one may just seem to come out of left field, but I'm gonna take this one and run with it. How many others could see these two as teaming up eventually as a tag team? True, nothing has been done yet between these two, but they both have two things in common, extreme powerful aggression and no friends. These are two vicious heels out for only themselves and while they're being booked as being powerful enough to make it work, how long is it going to be before somebody figures out that their backs are very vulnerable with nobody to watch it? Eventually, both of them will need an ally and who better than each other?

Supposing during the feud between Batista and Undertaker, Kane gets involved on his brother's behalf in a double-teaming strategy of wearing down the animal. Maybe Morrison enlists the help of the various others that McIntyre has ambushed and they do a bit of ambushing of their own. Batista and McIntyre both realize what they're up against and team up. The veteran Batista sees the potential in the hungry and vicious McIntyre and helps him to focus his aggression while McIntyre's ruthlessness breathes new life into Batista's own brand of hell-bringing. Can you imagine the kind of damage these two could do?

Eventually, it could bring about another Evolution or somesuch with Batista as the veteran, McIntyre taking Triple H's role, maybe Dolph Ziggler trying to be the Orton of such a group, but I don't know who'd be the hired muscle. Maybe Sheamus if he ever went to Smackdown...

What do you folks think of this? Could such a combination work?

This is were you took it a little to far, none of those wrestlers would work together unless some gimmick changes occurred. Now, I like the idea of a Batista McIntyre tag team..... But only to set up a feud between the two that would push McIntyre to main event status.

What do you folks think of this? Could such a combination work?

While I think they could make an interesting tag team.... this would be a bad idea. McIntyre needs to be having good defences of his IC title right now, not being involved in a tag team. With teams like JeriShow and DX at the top of the tag team division, Batista and McIntyre would get lost in the shuffle. Sure it would give Batista something to do other than yet another world title feud.... but I think this would hurt McIntyre if they tried a tag team run together at this point.

The only way I'd see it working was if rather than be an actual tag team, if Batista took McIntyre under his wing for a couple of weeks as a protege, kind of like a heel version of Carlito/Flair from a few years ago. Then have McIntyre turn on Batista after losing the IC belt somehow, and then he could move on to be a main eventer. That MIGHT work.... but having them do a tag team run together would hurt McIntyre because he is a future world champion and therefore does not need to waste his time on a division that he would get lost in the shuffle at.

I think Dagger hit the nail on the head to be honest. Lets not rush things here i mean McIntyre has just been given his first singles title, he needs to defend that title now on smackdown week in week out and come over as a dominent heel champion cause he's good on the mic aswell which can only benefit him in the long run. Im happy seeing him in singles competition for the time being maybe in 6 months time (probably losing the IC title somewhere in the process) maybe then go into the tag division with someone like batista.

Which brings me to Batista. I think you might have a point in putting him in the tag division but with someone other then McIntyre. To be honest im sick of seeing Batista vs the Undertaker so yeah it could work but maybe Batistas partner could be someone like Dolph Ziggler or someone who is a mid card heel at the moment other then McIntyre.

I do like the idea of the McIntyre and Batista becoming a tag team considering that there are only two tag teams in smackdown right now (unless I'm forgetting someone else but I can only think of cryme tyme and hart dynasty) they would be a great addition but sadly i doubt this will ever happen unless they are willing to bring batista to mid card or bring McIntyre up to main event. But it would be an interesting tag team to see even though it is very unlikely I would still like to see it happen

This would probably be one of the worst ideas ever. Both of these guys have nothing in common, and are both in the middle of a big push.

Batista just turned heel and is in a feud with THE UNDERTAKER for the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP, why would you degrade him to the tag division. It makes absolutely no sense to even consider him in a tag team especially with Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre just was brought to Smackdown and went into a mega midcard push. He is currently your IC Champion and in a really good feud betwen him and John Morrison. McIntyre is getting ready to be in the Main Event as the WWE is pushing him to the Moon as "The Chosen One".

There is no need nor no reason to put these two together as a tag team and this idea is just plain stupid.
