The first in the fifth generation of Pokémon DS games will be called Pokémon Black and White.

The Pokémon Company announced the names of the new DS adventures on a big reveal on the Pokémon Sunday TV show this weekend. They are expected to be released in Japan this year.

However, Pokémon Director Junichi has revealed a few details on his blog, saying they are working to "enhance quality."

While the official Pokémon website promises to reveal more details on 15 April, we understand that new episode of Pokémon Sunday will have some information on the games while the next edition of CoroCoro magazine may feature more information.

Musada recently discussed reinventing the series with ONM, saying "If we thought totally reinventing the series would be attractive enough, we would definitely try. But, if we want to simply try something new, then, I just add those ideas to a new series. (laugh) I always try to create a game that anybody, including those who have never played before, can enjoy."
