Placing a Sig in your signature.

This seems to be a pretty common question I get when I make people sigs and they aren't quite sure how to put the sig in their signature. This thread will solve that problem and it would be awesome if one of the mods could sticky this, that would be excellent. So lets start with the image below:

Here is the image url: http://i47.tinypic.com/30uy0lz.png.

Now, to place that into your sig you simply place image tags around it. Image tags look like this: . Simply place the url between the image tags and you are good to go. So what the whole thing should look like is this:

HTML:
[IMG]http://i47.tinypic.com/30uy0lz.png[/IMG]

Now copy that code and head to the user CP part of the site. This is located in the upper left corner of the screen. Or for those visual learners:

Now head on over to edit signature, which is the first option on the left hand side under settings and options. Again for those visual learners:

Click that and it will lead you to a text box. Place the code you copied in the box and hit preview signature just to be sure it is there. If it isn't there you messed up somewhere or there is something wrong with your image. Again for those visual learners:

That wraps it up. In the coming days I will also place a tutorial on how to put a link in your sig and a tutorial for how to do the random sig that allows you to have multiple sigs and changes it per post. Stay tuned!

One more tutorial and I believe that covers all the ones I promised. This will teach you about the rotating signature. The rotating signature allows you to have more than one image in your sig, but it changes it at random for each post. Now just because I'm showing you this doesn't mean you should go to each and every sigmaker and ask for a sig, that would just be rude. Also don't just go to one sigmaker and slam them with requests. It'll drive them into an early sigmaking retirement. So lets start it off. First the site you'll be using is this little dandy below:

http://www.cutandpastescripts.com/

Once you get to the site, sign up. It is completely free so don't worry about any money. After you are up and registered, sign in and it should take you to your Member Area. Then click Random Images on the left hand side. We all like pictures, so here it is photo style:

After you click that it'll bring up a list of options. Click the option that says Add a new image. This should bring up a box with a website in. Delete the site in the box and then add the site to which your image is coming from. Add all the images you need and once and you'll be good to go.

Then hit create and it'll bring you to a new screen, and click the "click here to continue" and move on. This will bring you to the code. Now it gets tricky here. You only want to copy part of the code or it won't work. You want to copy from the http:// until the end of your username. Anything before or after that is useless. Like this:

So when it is all said and done you should have that link and all you need to do is place around it and you'll be set with the random sig. So the final code should look like this:

HTML:

I'm sure there are other sites that offer this kind of random image generator, but this is the one I know how to use. So hopefully you've enjoyed this set of tutorials and I know I've enjoyed making them.
