The Bulldogs or The Road Warriors - Road Warriors. The best tag team of all time. Enough said. Tell 'em Hawk...
The Steiners or The Hart Foundation - Close, but I give it to the Hart Foundation. I liked the Steiners a lot, but I think the Hart Foundation was a great team that worked very well together in the ring and presented more of a tag-team image. Harts win after Jimmy Hart bashes Scotty in the head with the megaphone.
Strike Force or The Rockers - Gotta pick the Rockers. Martel and Santana are both great wrestlers, but I prefer them as singles competitors. The Rockers are a great tag team. Better chemistry and more appealing performance.
The Fabulous Rougeaus or The Quebeccers - Really? The Rougous here. Never was really a fan, but I thought they had was a better team presentation. Either way, Jacques Rougeau was a good performer.
The Brain Busters or Edge and Christian - Tough one here. I like Arn and Tully, but not in this incarnation. I'm a Horsemen fan. Edge and Christian were a very entertaining tag team both in and out of the ring... for the benefit of those with flash photography. I'd have to give them the nod, slightly.
The Hollywood Blondes or The Smoking Gunns - Hollywood Blondes. Austin and Pillman were singles guys who actually worked pretty well as a tag team. Smoking Gunns seemed too forced. On that, I have no further comment.
Harlem Heat or The New Age Outlaws - This is most difficult one of them all to pick. Both great tag teams. NAO is one of the best examples of two individual wrestlers joining forces and making it work. Hilarious characters that played well off each other. But Harlem Heat was a very good tag team as well, better skilled and more cohesive. In a squeaker, I'd pick Harlem Heat. Now can you dig that... sucka!
The Rock and Roll Express or The Hardyz - If you're talking presentation, Hardy Boyz. If you're talking overall wrestling skill, R&R Express. This one could very well be a draw, but if I have to pick a winner, it'd be the Hardy Boyz on pure athleticism.
Demolition or The Dudleyz - Dudleyz. Demolition is one of my favorite tag teams ever, but the Dudleyz are one of the best tag teams ever. No question.
Owen Hart and The British Bulldog or Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit - Owen and the Bulldog. Another example w/Angle and Benoit of two people forced to work together that may be good on their own, but never meshed well. Owen and the Bulldog are family
The Midnight Express or Money Inc - Midnight Express, only because of their legacy as a tag team. DiBiase and Rotunda worked very well together. Their characters suited one another. However, the Midnight Express was one solid overall theme... and a good one. Plus, they had the other "Mouth of the South" in their corner in Jim Cornette.
As an aside, I wish some other teams would have been included: The Freebirds (any two together), The Horsemen (any two together) and a few others.
