Pay Per Views and the name changes

WWF Wrestling Fan

Pre-Show Stalwart
Ok this has been bugging me for the longest time but I remember when WWF had only 4 Pay Per Views a year Royal Rumble Wrestlemaina Survivor Series and Summer Slam then they came out with King Of The Ring then WWF came out with another Pay Per View In Your House ok I get it but then they started to get crazy with all the other ppv's but then they change the names of alot of them and get rid of some of them its annoying like the 3 new ppv names Breaking Point Hell In A Cell and Bragging Rights ok is it just me or do those names truely suck and I thought WWE was family freindly now so why would they have a PPV called Hell In A Cell it makes no sence, tell me what you guys think.

i think wwe should stop trying the make gimmick pay per views. like breaking point. theses only 3 true submission matches on the card and there are only maybe 5 superstars that actually have and use submission finishers. i also hate how the anouncers have said breaking point about 1000 times in the weeks building up to it. an all hell in a cell ppv and an all tlc ppv will just make the matches not as special. gimmick matches shoudl only happen every so often. and if they make 1 ppv with a type of match then it limits when they can have that type of match. and the names do suck

breaking point is actually an ok name but hell in a cell and tlc and bragging rights are very boring names. and the bash?? what??? thats probably the worst. whats wrong wtih vengence and armagedon. also having only 6 or 7 ppvs a year would make them slot more special. we have a ppv what every 3-4 weeks. they have to make them gimmicky to make them seem special.

I think its to try and get more viewers because WWE's ratings have been declining so to try and increase it they bring out new PPVs, its essentially the usual tactic if people are bored with the same old stuff give them something new

I didn't think they needed to change the names of PPV's, I don't like the gimmick match name & card. To me it doesn't make sense. I would rather have a PPV that is known for a particular match, like No Way Out and the Elimination Chamber or WM has Money in the Bank or Survivor Series has the 5 vs 5 tag matchup. Give PPV's a clever title and have a gimmick match as the Main Event and not the title. Next thing you know they will change No Way Out to Elimination Chamber, please NO!

Look, the PPV name changes and the complaints are a little ridiculous. It’s not like any of you are going to stop watching any WWE programming on Sunday, because the show isn’t called Unforgiven or No Mercy or Cyber Sunday or Armageddon. At the very least, we can all rest assured that Uncle Vinnie won’t have an all Punjabi Prison PPV…right??
