Paranormal Activity

...Only if you believe.
Pretty freakin' terrifying. I love horror movies, and this movie legitimately had me freaked when I got home. Anyone else seen it?

I'm fucking DYING to see this movie, have been for weeks, but it's not playing anywhere within like 100 fucking miles of me. Why they aren't screening this in Boston or SOMEWHERE in New England is beyond me, and pisses me off. I really want to see this.

Yeah I was freaking out for about a month before it came out. I must've "demanded" it twenty times to come to Atlanta. I was under the impression someone bit the bullet and had it distributed everywhere. Hell, Spielberg is the main backer, you'd think they would, guess not though. Anyways, it was great. I'm afraid to say it was great without running the risk of building the hype, others going to see it and thinking it was mediocre. I was definitely impressed. With what I've learned so far about your affliction for horror movies X, I think you might too.

X, i hate to torture you, but this movie was fantastic. The ending had me shaking, and the past two nights have been anything but "peaceful."

I woke up at 6am and couldn't sleep for like an hr and a half because of that shit, I'm not even exaggerating. Not even because I was scared, but just because I couldn't stop thinking about it.

I know the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers is showing it, but that's a hike from Rhode Island.

Either way, could you imagine if you threw the filmmaker a couple thousand dollars to finance the movie? It was made on an $11,000 budget, and now has grossed over $9 million. That's a hell of a return.

The story behind the film is incredible. The dude shot it in his own house and a gazillion people Demanded it.

Wow!

Because of this thread, I went to check out what all of the fuss was about. I read the normal things, you know? I read the Wikipedia article, I read the IMDB article. I even went and watched some of the trailers on YouTube...

... I thne went and turned on the fucking light. This movie looks incredibly scary and I know it is getting it's UK release on the 27of November. That should be epic.

Wikipedia also says that it is getting released for general veiwing on the 16th in America but I don't know if this is true or not.

I hope you guys are happy at my now impending lack of sleep. Fuck you!

I'm hoping this movie makes it way to Canada....let alone New Brunswick. I mean they have advertised movies here that don't even play here in the end. And they play movie they have never shown trailers for or hung posters for or hyped up at all. It is totally ridiculous. I want to see this movie after reading the wiki and watching the trailer. It sounds like the first horror movie that would actually make me shit myself.

Stop torturing me damnit!

That's not too far, it's playing in Danvers really? Odd, I didn't see a single listing in New England. I may just have to make a day out of this, maybe I can catch a Celtics preseason game or something.

Actually, now that I see it's going to be released nationwide on the 16th, I'll just wait. But damn if the waiting won't suck. Fuck I hope this plays somewhere near me, I've been reading the hype on this film for nearly 2 years now. I'm a huge fan of the Blair Witch Project, and this looks even better.

Ahh X, if you liked the Blair Witch Project, you'll love Paranormal Activity. I look forward to your review on the 17th.

:( I guess so. I felt that way until yesterday, which was when I realized it was playing at the movie theater literally down the street from my house.

On an unrelated sad note, this is my most popular thread yet.
