Just to clearify.. the Randy Savage DVD is fucking amazing so far. Disc one, and no one has ruined it by bad mouthing Savage in any way.

Fuck, Striker (who's likely to be fired over it) even said if it wasn't for Savage, guys like Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho wouldn't be around today. I'm loving this DVD. Still wish the final disc held more WCW stuff than it does.

His match against Bruno is so-so, but it gives me more respect for Bruno. Guy was fucking throwing bombs onto Savage, and every single punch, kick or move looked like he put pure power behind making sure it was real.

I also never realized how incredibly fast Savage was. Fucking Mysterio doesn't hold a candle to him. In several matches (first disc, mind you) Savage is leaping off the top rope, or over the rope - then after you blink he's right back in the ring, or already on the guy for a cover.

Matt Striker and Maria host the entire DVD.. from what I've seen, NO ONE else is even saying anything about Savage.. just Striker and Maria.

So the upside is Striker is making Savage seem like one of the all-time greats, to even best out Hogan from back in the day.

The downside is.. Maria.

I did love how in several of the disc one matches, Gorilla and Lord Alfred are both convinced Elizabeth is a heel, and more than willing to let Savage put her in front of him - knowing no one would hit her. Clearly it's a good thing Jericho didn't ever wrestle back then. He'd blast her, even if Savage wasn't behind her.
