Paige - WWE's first duel women's champion?

Awesome to see Paige debut after watching her for a long time in NXT. She's only 21, but she's already just as good if not better than any of the other divas. Her, along with AJ and Emma can revitalize the division.

Yeah Emma too! Those chicks on NXT can go! I'm a big fan of Paige.

Well I think Paige Vs. AJ has potential to be the next actually memorable Womens feud in wrestling and there really are not too many of those. If booked correctly I feel the Divas division is in for a hell of a boost. I really wish WWE could get back some of the old divas that mattered and make a hybrid of the 10-15 best divas who can still go and are still in great shape.

As others have pointed out, Michelle McCool was the one who unified the Divas & Women's Championships in WWE.

Paige has been main roster ready for some time now. Allegedly, there was concern that she was too young and inexperienced to be on the main roster. What I mean by inexperienced is that some felt she might screw up and make the common mistakes kids tend to make in their early 20s. I can see that side of it because, let's face it, most 21 year olds aren't exactly known for disciplined maturity. In Paige's case, however, she was literally brought up in the business. Her parents own World Association of Wrestling, she herself has been wrestling since she was in her mid teens and her mother Sweet Saraya has been one of the top women's wrestlers in Europe for several years. As a result, Paige has respect for the business that's been bred into her.

Considering the wild atmosphere that people have come to expect from the post WM Raw and that AJ Lee has beaten every woman on the WWE roster worth beating, putting the title on Paige was the right decision. A lot of fans look at the post WM Raw as sort of the start of the new year in wrestling, so it's possible that last night was something of a new beginning for the Divas in which those who're on the roster mostly because of their looks are slowly phased out.

WAIT. What?!
Wow, just wow. Someone loses a match and it's considered a burial. Because she lost to a new talent, quickly? Maybe...JUST MAYBE, this is to set up a STORYLINE?! You know, those things that WWE have to set up to keep in business?

AJ has been UNBEATABLE. She has defied the odds and won EVERYTHING. GOD, If AJ was to be punished for being with Punk, she'd of been stripped of the title the week after he left. Instead she's remained champ and looked great being champ.

A 245 day reign is NO burial. A match to set up a storyline for the FIRST DIVAS MATCH that almost ANYONE will care about since Trish/Lita is NO burial.

By burial, I didn't mean that she would be pushed beneath all the other divas to the bottom of the roster. Let's face it, the divas division isn't strong either ways, because most of the talent is useless. The reign ending was just a tactic to keep us on our toes, because they tried delivering surprise after surprise. What if AJ Lee doesn't become anything after the Paige feud? What if she leaves? Yeah, burial may have been a far proclamation but ending the longest streak as divas champion to a debut rookie from NXT is pretty insulting.

you upset me with your proclamation of a burial of AJ, however, you gained my respect with a common dislike of the bellas. you, sir, can be my friend.

Aha a part of me was still pretty furious that I didn't see CM Punk return on Wrestlemania or the Raw after WM, and of course I'm pretty destroyed with the streak ending. Considering this, using the word burial may have been pretty drastic. Then again, the longest reign in divas history ending to a debut match is pretty low. Doubt that would have happened if the diva was somebody McMahon and Cena liked.

And hell yeah, screw the Bella Twins, sleeping their way to any success they'll have. I hate this Total Divas nonsense too, you see girls tweeting and commenting that they're behind the Bella twins and want to see them win but in reality they have no clue on how WWE works. Dumb fanbase of a weak asset.

Paige is basically a more palletable MsChif, except they didn't show any of that tonight which was really confusing. Is it possible to push and bury someone at the exact same time? I'm glad she is getting such a quick push but they stripped her of all personality to do it.

That always happens when call ups are made, characters change. Paige seemed to be one of the biggest changes though...she is the anti-diva, but she goes out and congratulates the Diva's champion? I understand the squash, it made a lot of sense...but, the finishing move was horrid.

Has Aj not been anti-diva on the main roster for quite some time now? It actually makes sense for her to come out and congratulate her main roster counterpart. What baffles me more is why tamina is still around with AJ they should have split that at WM XXX.

Unless they intend to do what's best for the diva's division, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, but have multiple feuds/matches running at a time. Let's face facts it's been a revolving door Aj vs random number 1 contender. They kinda do need a midcarder type break up of the divas to allow people to truly be considered #1 contenders. Let natty fight summer, the bellas and funkadactyls, let those 2 teams in fight. The division needs establish on screen pecking order to work up towards title matches.

If AJ and Paige tie eachother up in a storyline for a month or so that gives them at least a chance to sort the rest of the division a little. The whole structure of 10 v 10 diva clusterf*cks where whoever gets the pin somehow is the #1 contender really doesn't work.

No way was AJ buried with this, there was only ever one way Paige was going to debut and it was dethroning AJ. It gives her instant credibility and of course overness. It's "coincidence" perhaps the engagement/Punk stuff has happened so close to it but at the end of the day unless AJ has told them she wants out, she is going nowhere and they won't bury her because they DO want Punk back sometime...

As for Paige being NXT and Diva's champ it's a great move as it again shows NXT in a great light and inspires those in it. Paige is perhaps more "bred for greatness" than anyone to come through NXT since Bryan... they held back on her not cos they were "worried about her" as such but they make it a policy they want degrees and college finish age talent with some life experience, not green kids who are gonna blow an opportunity. Of course Paige doesn't have the college thing cos she has always wrestled, so that means she spends a bit longer in the "training" system but the effect is the same from WWE's perspective.

The "division" is changing, that much is clear back to "Womens wrestling" not Divas... You have AJ, Emma, Nattie, Paige and Tamina as the main 5... even the Bellas are not terrible workers and Layla is now back too... then you have the rest... quickly they will start spending time with Sara Del Ray and being weeded out, they still want the reality show type Divas, but they want them to be wrestling well too... the days of the clusterfuck are over...

Hope you are right. The last time they were on to something remotely close to what they have with Paige was when Kharma showed up, and that went to the toilet quick.
