He spent 8 years in the WWE from 1991 to 1999, although he spent some of late 88 and early 89 also at the WWE, There is no doubt he could put on some good matches no matter who he was in the ring with, he won tag titles, mid card titles, king of the ring and also known as the 2-time slammy award winner..

I would have to choose... Owen vs Bret for the WWF Championship - SummerSlam 1994.. Yes, I picked this match over their WrestleMania match.. To me, this is probably THE BEST CAGE MATCH I HAVE EVER SEEN IN THE WWE!!.. These 2 put on a spectacular match, and they know each other soo well. The story was there, the psychology between them, the finish was amazing and the aftermath also was just again amazing!! Also it was a 5 STAR MATCH!

WrestleMania X vs. Bret Hart - Arguably the best opener for WM ever!

Canadian Stampede 1997 w/ Brian Pillman, Jim Neidhart, British Bulldog and Bret Hart vs. Goldust, Ken Shamrock, The Legion of Doom and Steve Austin - This was from the Hart Family vs Austin feud, and I think this match was just amazing..

In Your House 6 vs. Shawn Michaels

SummerSlam 1997 vs. Steve Austin - It was a good match despite the botch..

The opening match of WrestleMania X is not only my favorite Owen Hart match, it may very well be my favorite match of all time. This match was flawless. There was both great action and great psychology. Bret and Owen were two of the smoothest wrestlers in the ring and the gelled perfectly that night. If someone was to ask me to show them an example of a perfect match this is the one I’d choose.

The cage match was awesome too. I was in The United Center to watch it live that night. I think this is the only acceptable answer besides WM10 but mania was better in my opinion.

Some honorable mentions that weren’t on your list:

European Title Final vs. Davey Boy Smth: I wish this took place at WM13 as it was certainly mania worthy.

KOTR 1994 vs. 123 Kid: Short but sweet. This is as good a five minute match as you will ever see.

Well I really can't decide because there are some beauties. But here's one for you that's NOT WWF: Owen Hart vs. the legendary Jushin "Thunder" Lyger in 1991. He may have lost after a sick avalanche DDT, but this definitely jumpstarted young Owen's career, at least in Japan.

Very tough to pic, I agree with Blitz on the Liger match, but I'd have to choose the Wrestlemania X match against Bret. The best opening match in wrestlemania history, if not wrestling history. I just watched this match literally 15 minutes ago and it is an amazing match. To hype it even more, its one of my top 5 favorite matches and probably in the top 10 of all time. Bret and Owens cage match wasent bad either.

I think his greatest match was against Davey Boy in the finals of the European title tourney. Excellent mat and aerial moves in this classic match.

owen was one of the best and so is bret so the odds of them putting on a bad match is 0:0 with wrestlemania being the stage for there big show down those two left nothing back. if anyone can remember owen's frustration with being in brets shadow was overwhelming and the whole feeling of this storyline was realllly goood! brother vs brother hart vs hart cant ask for anything more !
